"Will add, when Freddie was a baby he was very golden, not doodle at all... and had only the "wings" by his nose that gave me hope he might get a beard. It was agony waiting to see what he'd look like and I think he's still…"
"Your Pita (love the name!) looks alot like my Freddie (11 months). Took him a long time to grow his facial furnishings (a lot longer than his brother!!) and his legs have a few wispy hairs on them which gives me (a little!!) hope that he might…"
"OH! My reply never posted to you! I'm so sorry you lost your Jack. We lost Bruno not too long ago, and it is so sad. If Freddie ends up half as adorable as your Jack, we will be happy doodle parents!!"
"Freddie looks to have a coat very much like my sweet boy Jack's. If you look at my photos on my page, you can see what it may look like when Freddie is grown. His coat was thin, silky, flyaway, and very shiny. It was kind of like velcro, which…"
Hi! So, we've been watching our Freddie grow and change, and it's so amazing how different he looks! One thing that remains is the chicken fluff on top of his head! Has anyone had this fur pattern? Does it go away? It feels (according to my 5 year old) stickier than the rest of his fur (it gets tangled kind of easily) but is so thin and sparse on top of his head??? Just wondering what we might expect as he gets older. He's 8 months now :)See More
"Oh! Thanks!! He does have some adorable eyes :) A cute scruffy coat is what we're hoping for! He changes literally every week!! His litter brother is super scruffy, and a couple of his sisters have turned out to be very…"
Doodles come in so many colours and sizes. What a lot of people wonder is: what might my puppy look like as an adult? This is a group, mainly pictorial, to show and discuss how doodles progress from pup to adult.
Hi All :)So, it's been a couple of months, and Freddie is getting so big! He's about 40 pounds at 6 months, and is super long and tall! Tho we're still waiting on that doodle coat, he's getting wavier, and that comb over on his head is quite the unique trait ;)He's a total sweetheart, and a professional cuddler!Anyone have a similar coat with predictions on what he may look like??See More
Mom of 2 beautiful girls, and wife to my husband Joe! We have never owned a doodle before, but had a chocolate lab (Bruno) for 16 years. We lost him this past summer. We are super excited (and a little nervous) for our new puppy, Freddie (named after the golfer Freddie Couples-my husband is a golf pro...we live down the street from our puppy's brother, Arnie...named after Arnold Palmer...that family has a golf pro too...)
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Freddie is our only doodle. He is actually 1/2 goldendoodle, 1/2 golden retriever, so we're not sure exactly what he'll look like...
He's a rambunctious little guy right now, trying to get the hang of potty training and sleeping through the night ;)
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
We have always loved the look of a doodle, and I my parents and friends have had goldens and we loved them (minus the copious amounts of tumble weeds :)
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Right now we are loving all of the puppy cuddles and teaching him new things like sitting and coming. We are not in love with puppy biting, but hoping with some training and maturity that will pass...
Does your doodle(s) shed?
