Little Girl Not So Little Anymore
Dagny has been growing like a weed. She had a quick trip into the vet today so she could be weighed. We have been buying her heartgard medication one month at a time since she has been growing so quick. She has now reached the 50 pound mark and for the first time we were able to buy a 6 month supply. It has been amazing to watch her grow and now I'm wondering just how big she will get to be. The breeder said that puppies from past litters of the same two parent dogs average between 60 and 65 pounds. It looks like we will be breaking that average if she keeps growing like she is now. It is a lot of fun to look back at the pictures taken of her. She looks so small in them now. Below is her growth chart:
Dagny born on August 1
October 18: Dagny is brought home
October 20: Dagny weighs 17 lbs
December 9: Dagny weighs 34 lbs
February 1: Dagny is 6 months old
February 10: Dagny weighs 50 llbs
I am now counting the days to see when we will hit the 65 lbs mark so we can join the heavyweights group.

I grew up with an Irish Wolfhound and you can't get much bigger than that...

Oh Taylor - you are so right! LOL I have yet to hear of a breeder saying "Yeah your doodle will probably weigh between 85-100 lbs." People would run for the hills! But we all know, the bigger the better right Huff and Murph?

They aways say that weight. At 2 months Huff was 16lbs then at 6 months he was 50 or 60 lbs (i dont remember exactly). And now Hes 1 1/2 and he is 83 or 85 lbs.

We used to wake up in the morning and swear that Oliver grew everynight overnight!!!!...It is amazing how fast they grow....

Isn't it fun to watch them grow and wonder where it will end? My guess...she'll be a beautiful, BIG girl!

She is exactly one year behind Gavin. He was born Aug 2, 2009 and we brought him home October 18, 2009 and he weighed 19lbs on October 26. He was 53 lbs at 6 months and at 1.5 years he is 66lbs.
