Another exciting day! This time it's not bad! :o)
This isn't exactly doodle related, but I think you'll enjoy it anyway....
Last spring we got three duckings. They were so much fun to watch grow!
Near the end of the summer the female started laying eggs, but she was too young for them to be fertilized. This spring she started laying eggs again but THIS time she sat on them! It's been nearly a month and I really thought they were all "duds." Last night Alyssa came running in the house yelling, "My eggs are hatching, my eggs are hatching!" Sure enough, they pecked little holes in the shell and are indeed hatching! It's still cold here at night so we brought then inside and put them under a heat lamp. When we "talk" to them they chirp back! The below video is so cool!! I just love it! Listen carefully, you can really hear him at the end.

What...no blog today? Your blogs are "the best". I log on to DK a few times a day, and now I always look to see if there's an "April" blog. None yet today....I'm "bummed".

So nice! I used to get fertilized eggs from a farm and keep them in an incubator in my classroom... out of everything I taught my class... THAT was truly a life lesson.. watching their faces while they saw them hatching was truly priceless.... now I'm sorry I didn't get to do it this year... thanks for sharing!

Adorable. But now there are even more animals for the doodles to blame for "mishaps" around the house. Better fingerprint them all for the record, ahead of time.

OK Michele, that's NOT even funny!!! :o) I'm 32 and FAR from being a grandma! If you want to get technical, they are my daughters ducks so she would be the grandma..... WAIT! That would make me the great grandma. AHHHH!!!! Just don't use the "G" word!
