I think if he's Paddy to you, that's fine. You could start calling him Paddy Rufus or Rufus Paddy, then, occasionally just Paddy. My dog Angus, responds to Angus, Angus Baggins, Baggins, Baby, Goose, Junior (?), Angnes (!), and more. Half the time I…
My first choice for a dog name was Baggins, but my family thougnt it was stupid and made up all sorts of goofy nicknames based on it. So I named him Angus, and Angus Baggins is his full name. He also goes by Little Angus Baggins. And lots of the tim…
Hi. I have a 3 yr. old mini goldendoodle (about 34 lbs.). He is absolutely wonderful. I have a 9 month old granddaughter, whom he is very curious about and likes to watch her play on the floor. Her parents have a large goldendoodle who is also very…
Absolutely. Angus is SO much more comfortable with a puppy cut. He looks like an entirely different dog - much thinner looking, but without it, the slightest exercise in the warmer months leaves him panting. He gets a lot of exercise and I don't wan…
I have one dog that really has problems with separation. He howls when we leave him in the RV for a few hours, he won't eat when my DH periodically takes HIM to college with him for a few days (Gordie has a great time chasing the frisbee players, si…
My feeling on this is that you seem to really enjoy her company. She'll be fine while you're on vacation without her, if she feels safe with her caregivers. Angus was fine the week I was in Santa Fe. And I'm going to England in Oct. for at least a w…
How pathetic is this, we can't leave Hunter, we blame it on her and say she has seperation anxiety but really its me and my husband. We traded in our vacations for a 35 ft travel trailer so we don't have to leave her! Can you say PUSH OVERS???!! LOL
Angus will be 3 in August. He's about 34 lbs. Perfect for me. Just a wonderful little guy. I got him from the Paw Pad in Deer Creek, Ill. Still small enough to be a lap dog.
I am a first- time dog owner; was persuaded by my (adult) children to get a dog, a year after my son got a goldendoodle of his own. Couldn't help myself. I am so pleased with the dog I got from the Paw Pad; he's everything Christine said he would be and more. I spent many hours training him and just being with him and it has paid off; he's absolutely delightful.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
He's an F1 mini goldendoodle named Angus. My son's standard doodle (Walnut) is 2 (one yr. older than mine), and he spends most days at my house while my son is working. I have a huge yard with over an acre fenced with invisible fencing and they play together all day. I've been bringing him to a wonderful daycare once a week or so for socialization. He loves it. Also, my town has an extensive network of wooded trails where he walks almost daily off leash. He's got a great life, and he has certainly enhanced mine!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
My daughter-in-law has allergies, so they got a goldendoodle, so I did also.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Walking, throwing a ball (endlessly, indoor and out), and just interacting with him in general. He is really bonded to me and follows me everywhere. We also have lots of fun just watching the two dogs play together.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
A little bit but nothing major
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
Janet Simon of Janet's Doggie Daycare in Dartmouth
Hey Susan,
Angus is adorable! Hurley isn't our first dog. We adopted a lab/shepherd mix (Cody) years ago from the humane society. He passed away 5 years ago. We had a trainer come and help us during Cody's puppy stage and it really helped alot. He was an energetic, fun, nippy puppy who really turned out to be such a sweet, calm, loving family pet. We're really having alot of fun with Hurley and it's nice to know the nipping, chewing, and potty mistakes don't last too long!
Hi Susan, Angus is so cute. We got Barley from Christine too, he is one of Rubbi and Jocques. Barley is about 9 weeks old now, so he is quite a handful! I see he is a F1 mini, how big is he?

Angus is just beautiful and I know you're loving having him in your world!!! I can't imagine lift without dogs!!! Bentley will be 1 yr. on the 18th and it's been great! He and Charlie are the best of friends and we have a ball hiking, walking and swimming here in the mtns.
"Single Chicks of Doodle Kisses"- Where Men are Dogs and Dogs are Men. I thought it was a cute, fun, comical catch phrase and a way to connect with other single female Doodle owners.....
A place to laugh, vent, share and discuss why sometimes hanging with your Doodle is more fun than hanging with those of the opposite sex.
Hi Susan, My Beckett is a mini english goldendoodle from Paw Pad. He's almost 6 mon. old. He weights about 20 lbs. His parents are Lola and Ziggy. He is a joy too! They are the smartest little dogs. He misses me now that school has started. He cries when I get home from work! I feel so bad :( He's such a sweetie. Angus is adorable too. I love Christine's pups!
