Has anyone found that their doodle has different toys for different moods? I'm finding that if Myla wants on the couch with me while I'm watching TV and I don't "invite" her after she noses me…Continue

Bonnie and Kona said… If Myla doesn't mat or get knots then you do not need the brush. If she isn't one year old yet, then I would wait to see if her adult coat is different from her puppy coat. Our Owen doesn't mat and his coat is much easier to deal with. I use my Les Pooches brush on him but I NEED it for Kona's coat.
BTW I love the photo with her ear in the water dish. Such a sweetie.
Bonnie and Kona said… Saw your comment about wondering if the cost of a Les Pooches brush is worth it. I think Myla's coat may be like Kona's... fleece/wool combo. Honestly, it makes the biggest difference in grooming my boy. I love it. If you are even thinking about it I say ask for one for Christmas. You won't be sorry. I got mine through Kemp at Doodlecountry.com
I'll contact Sharon and ask her to keep me informed about this newest breeding challenge. I already have one of her excellent phantoms so a sheepadoodle might be a nice new dog to try.
The sheepdog puppy sounds interesting to me. I will have to keep in touch on this guy. Of course, I trust Sharon with breeding whatever dogs she decides to breed. She is fantastic.
Yes, I heard from Sharon about Groucho. Sadly, his breeding this year did not take so there are no more puppies from him. Luckily I have one of his best and biggest pups. He was a great sire. I'm sure Sharon can replace his genes in her breeding program. She is the greatest.
Robin's pup?
Since you already have doodle experience, you should have a wonderful time with your new puppy. I don't know about the other colors, but phantom is a little different from just black. People are always asking about Groucho Too, but are surprised when we say he is a goldendoodle, especially because our other doodle is light in color. They say, "That looks like the goldendoodle." Harpo, however, is a ALD and their personalities are totally different. You are in for a treat. Are you driving down to pick him (her) up?
Yes, my dog, Groucho Too, is from that breeder. I think she is great! I corresponded with her for over a year while waiting for Groucho Too. His father is Groucho, her phantom standard poodle, and I had wanted a puppy from the previous litter, but they were all spoken for practically before they were born. I waited until the next year for the following litter, and Groucho Too was in that litter. All of Groucho's offspring resemble him, but I think my Groucho Too is one of the larger puppies. He is 30 inches tall and weight about 90 pounds.
I highly recommend Sharon and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. She is a very dedicated and experienced breeder.
