My response is not coming from a service dog aspect, but just as one who had never had large dogs until 3 years ago. We had a little 15 lb Toy poodle for 16th years. My husband always just sort of tolerated her and longed for a bigger dog and I was always hesitate. 3 years ago we started considering another dog and I was looking at all these little foo foo doggies and hubby just kept wanting to go bigger. I then came across Doodles and researched a little about them and said well maybe I could tolerate that. We decided one Doodle and one little dog. Well long story short when we got to the breeders home, we left with 2 doodles. I am without a doubt head over heels in love with these dogs. I love having larger dogs in the house. There isn't anything about them I don't love. So much better than a little dog. May not be the same for your husband, but I couldn't be happier.
