"It sounds like Doc and Bailey are still running pretty close to the same. Doc was 62 lbs right at 9 months. Although, this weight was right after we had him shaved down.. He probably lost 5 lbs in hair! LOL! He is 27 in. tall at shoulder."

Profile Information

About Me:
Wife, mother of 2 beautiful girls (teen and toddler), and one on the way! We are a "musical" family, for that reason our lifestyle with lots of traveling had not allowed us to have a pet until my husband settled down into a more "stable" position as a mid-high band director. =) I am a nurse by trade, currently stay home mom, and on 9-11-12 brought home our families newest addition, our little boy, Doc. I am blessed beyond measure!
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
Family with allergies #1.

My older daughter has always wanted a "fluffy"pup. My husband and I enjoy larger breeds. My baby girl needs a trainable, reliable type.

Thanks for the friend request! Sorry its taken me a few days to get to around to accepting it... very busy time of the year, not to mention having a puppy to watch... CONSTANTLY. So time consuming...  Have a great holiday!

I'm just trying to find out what coat type I want and how I'll be able to select the right pup to fit that coat type. But basically I want one that is similar to my profile picture.

Thanks. I just joined trying to get some more info on Labradoodles. I'm looking to get one coming this summer and I'm trying to find out as much info on them as I can. As far as the doodle on my profile pic, its just one I found on the internet, actually from a place here in Arkansas. So if you have any good info for me just let me know.

Yes, Stephanie, Hondo did have a dark brown coat when he was a puppy.  He looked very much like Doc.  His eyes were a green color.  His eyes turned darker and his coat lighter.  I tried to find some puppy photos this morning, but the old photos from 2003 were on my old computer and not saved on the hard drive.  His mother was a yellow lab and his father a black standard poodle.  He ended up 105 pounds.  There are many photos of him on my page (the older ones).  Definitely the best dog I have ever had!

Hey, Stephanie and Doc - Welcome to the Heavyweights group.  Looks like Doc will definitely be a great little heavyweight.   Love your photos.  Hey, I am going to try to attach a photograph of my late labradoodle who Doc remind me of.  He was rather a smooth-haired pup also.

Hi Stephanie, thanks for the warm welcome.  Snickers is an absolute joy & total mama's boy!  He's been great & my husband, who wasn't too thrilled at the idea of a dog again, is smitten too!  That's says plenty!

At 2:03pm on November 8, 2012, Linda, Charlie Brown & Beau said…

Hi Stephanie ~ you asked what Beau weighs now.  He is 14 wks and weigh 15.5 lbs.  He is a medium size ALD, so I expect him to weight about the same as Charlie at maturity - probably 38 - 40 lbs.  We had a standard poodle in the past and decided it was just easier to travel with a little smaller doggie (not thinking maybe we would have two some days).  We are having fun though - and laughing at these two clowns every day.  That makes it all worth it!  Your new photos are all beautiful.
