About Me:
I am a Goldendoodle breeder in Upstate NY. I Have been a Canine Behavior Consultant for many years and recently began breeding doodles. I absolutely Love them! State licensed #638

Check out our book 'The Goldendoodle' through authorhouse publishing: ISBN#9781438972183
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We breed Mini, medium and standard Goldendoodles.
We own 3 adult Goldens and 2 Golden pups as well as 2 Moyen Poodles from Trina! My mother and father (business partners) own a mini stud doodle.. his name is Studley..,. Ok so you mustof figured out who "we" is.. We are family owned and family run. We use pawsitive id genetic testing as well as PennHIp, OFA and conduct PRA and CERF testing on our breeding stock. All our dogs are housed indoors.

Geddy Lee of Rushville (GiGi) is a Golden female who will be bred with a Mini poodle (4 #) in October 2008. She will be bred with Jack next fall :P Geddy is a light coat and a great temperament. She is going to make some beautiful doodles! I got Geddy as a puppy, as i do with all my breeding dogs.

Ginger Lynn is a dark Gold Golden who had a litter of mini goldendoodles in December 2007. She is now retired but is still a lovely pet. She is Studley's mommy (our Stud doodle).

Bella (Bolt) is my Male Golden, he has a beautiful flowing coat light in color. He has been the stud for 3 litters, 2 of which were Standard Goldendoodles from Mercedes of Lakeview doodles in Kendall NY.

Nella is a puppy, (born on June 2008) she will hopefully be a beautiful doodle mommy.. Fingers are crossed for passing all her health tests! She is Gigi's puppy. Nella will be bred (in the future) with jack :)

Lexi is a puppy as well, same as Nella. Again lets hope she passes all her health tests so that she can be bred in the future as well. She also is Gigi's puppy. In the future Lexi as well will be bred with Jack :)

Jack and Summer are Moyen Poodles. Jack is a phantom, apricot coat. he is a pup still as well. Summer is a parti coat, cute as a button. They came to us from Trina at Tiggerdoodles! We just Love him! :)

Studley is our F1 mini Goldendoodle stud dog (note the name). He Lives with Kevin & Rita Parks (my parents/business partners). Studley is still young so he has yet to get health tested but he is quite a looker! See his pics all over the website and here !!!

So there are a total of 7 dogs... Lots of work but well worth it for the love we get in return!

We occasionally utilize the stud service of Lakeview doodles who owns several very beautiful and exquisitely healthy Mini and Standard poodles. Lakeview also happens to use us our studs too!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I started with Golden breeding then there were so many politics I had to get away from it so I have been DRIVEN to doodles, but thats a good thing!

I love the Goldens but the doodles shed a LOT LESS and most don't shed @ all, doodles have hair not fur and that is much better for those who have allergies! Go DOODLES!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
walk, play, fetch. I love to make my dog food, they often watch attentively. I make all my food homemade, ask me for a recipe if you like. the nutritionist @ Cornell has given me some tips and my babies just love their real food dog food!!!

I love working with my dogs, they are so "trainable" ... I am an Ian Dunbar admirer, he is the #1 trainer in the USA.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
Self... sometimes Marsmutts (Marcel Larocca)
Favorite Doodle Products?
Kong, cow hooves (adults only), this way cool twisty rubber ball..., nylabones, rubber toys, etc...

People make me smile! :). . . sometimes!

I just received a call from a woman who lives in Victor NY and she was seeking information on buying a Golden retriever puppy.. Well asking me about a Golden breeder is going to elicit a foul response so I immediately explained how I breed doodles and that Golden breeders dont care for doodles etc etc... So she and I spoke for about an hour on the phone regarding how people are jerks and cant we all just get along and so on and so forth. She agreed that the politics were out of hand among breede… Continue

Buying a Puppy...

When buying a puppy be sure of the following:
Breeder gives you-
· 2yr health guarantee,
· the parents are health tested,
· the pups are seen by a vet before you take one home,
· free of worms, received first shot,
· and that the breeder does not allow the pup to leave before 8 weeks (at least).

I personally like to keep my pups until about 9-10 weeks and give them their second shots before they go home.

Please don't be too surprised if the breeder does not allow you to visit the property or s… Continue

Hi Stacy. My puppy is 16 weeks old and she weighs 14.6 lbs. Do you have any idea how much she might weigh as an adult? Her parents were 45 and 55 lbs. The breeder I got her from thought she would be around 43lbs. But, I don't know if she will weigh that much since she isn't that big now. Any ideas??? Thanks.

Thank you for your response. I almost feel as if it is common sense to not neuter too early. I feel like it is the same as humans. I totally agree, 6 months is the way to go!! :) How is Jack doing?

Thank you Stacy, I understand your position perfectly. I can only imagine the difficulty in educating the new puppy owners, and even some of the older owners who are not aware of the newest findings out there regarding diseases. It is a tough job, and it's nice to see how dedicated you are to keeping not only your own dogs and puppies safe, but those of all of us.

I also agree about learning from different people and their opinions. We can take bits here and there to add to our lives. If I lived where I could have some land it would be heaven, but that will not be for probably a long while. I have to make due in the safest way possible for my babes.

Have a nice long weekend and I'll see you in the Forums. Your dogs and pups are lucky to have a Mom like you :)

Hi Stacy,
Thank you for the comment. To have my puppies buyers as happy as you are, is what makes breeding these wonderful dogs all worth it. I look forward to watching Jack grow, and hopefully will be able to come and visit sometime. I feel very blessed to have been able to meet you and, and that Jack has found his home with you. I know that he is very much loved. And when I am ready to get my mini goldendoodle, I'll be coming your way for sure~~
