- About Me:
- I am in my 40s and single and have always LOVED dogs. I work mostly from home. I have long wanted a dog of my own but allergies and having a place of my own had prevented it. I grew up with dogs, and my sister now has a Schnoodle we all adore and play with and dog-sit.
I have lots of love to give to a Goldendoodle, and I want to welcome one in to my new home. My heart melts anytime I see a dog and I am excited to go on this journey.
Joy (to me) is simply seeing a dog with his head out the window of a moving car (lips smacking in the breeze), or seeing dogs play in a pool (enjoying the cool splashes, face wet).
I know its a big investment but I'm ready for the commitment.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- I have an English F1 Mini Goldendoodle named Ruby. She came to me (I live in California) from a breeder in Chicago - Paw Pad Doodles. I got Ruby at 8.5 weeks old and on May 8 will be 6 months old.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- Allergies. If I didn't have allergies I'd go with a golden retriever. A Goldendoodle is the best fit for me. In August 2011 while getting my tires rotated, I met, pet and spent some time with an F1 Goldendoodle (as a test) and did not have ANY reaction at all. The breed was alway on my mind but fate intervened and I was able to give my propensity for allergies a test. I was so excited, I started thinking about getting a dog right then and there. The owner of the dog told me about DoodleKisses.com and that's where /how I found the breeder....and that's how this journey began. She only "sheds" when I brush her.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Cuddle, walk, play and train.
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- A little bit but nothing major
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- Just 4 Paws Mobile Spa, and I brush her everyday, once a day, and bathe her once a month.
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- Pup Chill Pad, Coolaroo cot/elevated bed, Groomer's suction cup with noose, Les Pooches puppy brush, stuffless critter toys, fish pole with critter attached (for chasing).
