- I'm a stay-at-home mom of two beautiful daughters and one amazing Labradoodle! (He's the son I never had.)

- Our doodle is an F1B: 3/4 silverback poodle and 1/4 lab. His name is Bosley and he is the sweetest dog on earth!

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- We stumbled upon our doodle in an ad in the Penny Saver. I had been looking to rescue and wheaten or doodle, but was having a hard time finding one with such small children (a lot of adoption places won't adopt to families with kids younger than 5, and many younger than 9!) I saw the ad that was from a man in Yorba Linda and he had doodle puppies just around the corner. I grabbed my kiddos and we went to just "take a look" since I've never bought a dog in my life. When we got there, he only had 5 puppies left. We wanted a cream male, and there he was, the cutest, fluffiest 13-week puppy we had ever laid eyes on. I called my husband to come take a look (he was advocating the puppy thing from the beginning). He drove over and had his checkbook in his hand! It all happened so fast, I wasn't prepared, and had to run to Walmart to get all the puppy things he needed. The breeder wasn't a professional breeder. He did it so his kids could go through the experience of having puppies. Luckily, his family had bred dogs for years and he was an RN, so he knew what he was doing. He was thrilled that someone from Yorba Linda, just around the corner, wanted one of his doodles, so he sold us Bosley for $200. That was less than most of the rescues I had been in contact with. It was meant to be. I would have rather rescued a dog, but it looks like Bosley rescued us from being dogless and without the unconditional love of a canine companion. We just love our Bosley! aka Boz Man, Boslers, Senior Fluff, and Bozel Tov.

Hi Shannon, I came across this site accidently and saw your profile/blog. We too live in Yorba Linda and I loved your story about Boz Man. We have a 3 year old female and would love to have just one set of puppies. We love her dearly and she is constantly "mothering" her little stuffed animals and we thought it might be nice to have a litter. We don't want to do it for monetary reasons, actually the thought of one of her puppies going to a home where they wouldn't totally love and adore it, would be horrible. We would like to find a doggie daddy that is healthy and a doodle, no champion lines neccessary! Anyway, the only way I could communicate with you was to join this site, so I hope you see it!! haha.
