Deaf (hearing impaired) mother of three beautiful children, two daughters and one son, looking to adopt a labradoodle. I am seeking a doodle that I can train as "hearing" dog for myself and my children so I will not have to worry about harms that befall my kids as well as listening out for other sounds such as door knocking, alarm ringing, etc. Please contact me if you can help. tillerodog@gmail.com In the meantimes, I will be working hard doing researching, etc. to adopt a labradoodle. It's scary to have my back turned from my babies while I'm on computer because I can't hear them so bear with me.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Don't have one yet - hoping to adopt one! Would like to get one that is small to medium sized.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder, Shelter, Rescue
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
It is very service oriented with wonderful Lab traits. I used to adopted/fostered a few dogs in my life and a labrador was one of them and the most beloved one. He was wonderful when my son was a baby.
I almost had a dog but at the last minute but due to unforeseenable circumstance, the dog's owner has to back out at the last minute. Fosters, rescues, county/city government animal shelters worker are welcome to to contact me via e-mail.
I am deaf/hearing impaired and searching for small to medium labradoodle dog at adult age to train as hearing service dog to protect myself and my family. The dog protected under ADA laws will be by my side 24/7, no if and/or but. Hearing dog will come and "fetch" me when my daughters are crying, the knocking on door, the alarm going off, people talking to me as well as listening for cars while walking outside and listening for the safety of my children in park and other settings. If I can find someone who can transport, great! I would be more than happy to pay for gas fee.
Thank you guys for contributing to the betterment of labradoodles and to the safety and well-beings of my family.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Hi Rebecca,
Do join us at "Service Dogs....doodles" It's under groups.
I have some information about "dogs for the deaf inc." and
a possible breeder that donates labradoodles for service work!
Hi Rebecca...come over to service dogs...doodles. There is someone you should talk to and meet. She could probably help you with knowing where you can get a doodle for hearing and help or advice how to train the dog yourself.
