I keep Max trimmed pretty short since it's really hot where we live but if I don't brush often we get the puffballs. Max was early neutered also so I really think it's all about the brushing.

The only time our ALD (who is 3 years old now) ever shed puffballs of hair was when she was having a horrendous allergy season at age 2. Her skin was a mess. She has since been diagnosed with Atopic Dermatitis and is under treatment recommended by a…

I get puffballs on my floor when Cooper's hair is long or I haven't brushed as well as I should. I think maybe some in the spring too - I assumed that was because of the coat change for summer. As long as she brushes the dog, they should all come ou…

We have 4 AL's, all non shedders.  Our female had 9 puppies and one of my puppy adopters is saying that his sheds.  This dog has a soft fleece coat, like several in the litter, and the others are fine.  The owner says that he's shedding "puffballs"…

I have to sell my 2 1/2 year old Australian Labradoodle as he was meant to be a stud and is sterile. He is sweet, gentle, funny and loving and has a beautiful gold fleece coat. Sunny is 24" and weighs just under 60 pounds. If you would be interested…

Yes, he looks curly.

I always joke that our Australian Labradoodles are part kangaroo. Our girl, Venus, can jump higher on her hind legs than I ever thought possible. I thought her mother, Cocoa, was a jumper but Venus has her beat all to pieces.

It's kind of like having a new baby. But if you lengthen the time each time before you put her out you can get her to sleep all night.

I wish we had something like that here.

Your dogs are GORGEOUS. I can't believe you can handle four and trained two at once. And you are a breeder also. Wow. Thanks for the words of confidence. Aha. I thought I recognized your name. You are on the list of recommended breeders on my breeders link (if I am allowed to say that on this site).

Hi Pamela,

Thank you for the welcome. No matter what kind of day I have, I can always count on Snickers for a warm greeting when I come home from work. We don't have grandkids yet, so I can only imagine how wonderful that is.

Your Sunny and My Ned look lots alike in pictures. I was admiring Sunny beating the heat in the latest DK contest. Ned is a small medium. How big is Sunny?

I was just looking at the photo of your dogs on your page and it looked like a white, a brown, and a black. So it seems that the white is now a little darker in color. Two blonds and two brunettes - that is probably the easier description.

Hi Pam, I would watch really close and see if she's maybe having a silent heat with not much blood. It can happen.....something is obviously going on if he's mounting her like that and following her around. His nose is telling you something is up! Is she swollen at all? If not then she must be coming into heat right away. I've had my male follow around a female and she'll start in a couple of days but he doesn't try mounting. Is this the female that lives with you? if not then he's just being dominant with her and showing her that he is "the man"......keep me posted....

Isn't it funny how the colors change over time? Hondo started out the color of Honduras mahagony (reddish brown) hence the name Hondo. As you can see, he is quite a different color now. Groucho Too has lots of white coming into his black coat, but I think he will always be black. It is so interesting to watch (and speculate) on the changes they will go through.

Hi Pamela - Welcome to the Holiday Greetings group. If you love to make cards and other greetings, this is a great group to practice. Your doodles are very cute. Three different colors - now all you need is a blond and you will have all the major colors.

Hi Pam! I hope that Cocoa cycles soon too :) I'm sure that Sunny will do the "job" this time.......they say the standard boys are a little slower developing so hopefully that's the problem.....anyway you'll be busy with 3 girls very soon :)

Just saw a picture of Sunny in the grooming tools contest. He and my doodle have identical fur. Ned is a small doodle but he and Sunny could be "brothers" in looks. Does Sunny mat a lot? Ned does.
