About Me:

We are semi-empty nesters and have discovered we have more 'empty time' now (no more girl scouts, band, soccer etc.) that our girls (27 & 20) are grown. Our oldest daughter lives in Northern Ireland, but the younger one still lives at home while attending college. Eons ago, before children :o} we showed English Setters and Pointers. When children came along we 'down sized' to smaller less grooming intensive dogs, but never lost that soft spot for the big 'ol bird dogs.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

Harlow is our very first doodle though we have always had at least 2 dogs (and cats) our whole lives. Harlow has joined our pack with her 2 beagle brothers, Baxter Black & Sherlock Holmes, kitty sister, Cleo and brother Moonshine. She had a lovely chocolate coat as a puppy but her adult coat is coming in much lighter. I think she may fade to a cafe. Her half sister Southern Charm's Sweet Georgia Brown is a beautiful Lavender LD. If we are lucky Harlow will follow her older half sister's lead.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

We have been interested in doodles for quite a while and have been very impressed with every doodle we have met while walking our two 9 year old beagles (the Boys). The more research we did on the breed the more we fell under their spell. For over a year we said 'when the boys go off to the happy hunting grounds, we will get a Labradoodle'.

As it turns out it wasn't the passing of either of our boys, but our 14 year old cat, Pokie, that helped us make the decision to get a Labradoodle now, rather than wait. It was the best thing we ever did.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Fetching Frisbees and tennis balls, snuggling and puppy kisses.

Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

Groomer every 6 weeks and me in between

Favorite Doodle Products?

Kong, Hide A Squirrel, Tennis balls and 'flat' pig and newest favorite is Elk antlers.
