"I use Frontline Gold on both dogs.  It seems like the ticks go on the dogs but rarely attach.  I'm guessing that they hop off because of the Frontline and end up on the furniture and then on us :("

Nancy replied to Natalie's discussion Please help with the questions about choosing a puppy
"Just my opinion but I think it is very important to take  a good look at the breeder and make sure you are buying from one who reputable.  Too many people are calling themselves breeders and that is resulting in many unhealthy pups."

Welcome! Be sure to read the link to DRC ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. especially noting children’s age minimum.
The Adoption application form is at the top of the page.
Check the DRC ADOPTABLE PETS on our home page. When you are looking at the Adoptable Pet pictures, notice that the two letters in front of the dog’s name mean the state they are being fostered in. While the DRC allows out of state applicants, they cannot transport the rescues and will not let them fly, so you need to be within driving distance of the foster.
Other suggestions to find a rescue doodle: click on the REGIONAL LISTINGS section ; and check PETFINDER (putting in all zip codes within driving distance); also GOOGLE in shelters and humane societies within your driving range. Check back often.
pirate welcome to drc
