- I've always wanted a retriever and my wife likes the cute and fluffy look of the poodle -- Therefore, Goldendoodle wins.

We have had a few members adopt their doodles from Lied Animal Shelter, and we have one person, Pat, who regularly updates the group if she thinks there is a doodle up for adoption. Make sure to press "follow" on the group page so you get the updates.
Another option is the DRC (Doodle Rescue Collective) they are a wonderful organization that pulls labradoodles and goldendoodles for shelters across the US and puts them into Foster homes to get socialized, loved and recoup before they go out for adoption to their forever homes. If you are looking for a specific color and a goldendoodle in particular, then the DRC might be the way for you to go. Here is the link to their website:
