"Hi Jill - Quincy my "mini" was 31 pounds at 20 1/2 weeks old. His Mom is a 38 lb labradoodle and his dad a 25 lb mini poodle. Quincy is now 13 1/2 months old and weighs 56 pounds and is 22 inches tall. So not a mini…"
"Wait a minute-the last I read was that most of the time it will change darker in the summer??? I hope so because Myla's got really pink this winter:( I will have to read the articles later! Thanks for posting!"
"We think Luna might have "Snow nose" - we'll find out in a few months. Her nose stayed black last winter, but she was just a baby then, so who knows!
The bit about hypothyroidism is interesting because (like Camus) Luna gains…"
"I just read the link that Elizabeth posted and it is very interesting. Of particular interest to me is the possible link to hypothyroidism. The reason I give Camus kelp is, although his thyroid tests came back within the normal range, he…"
"Camus' nose has turned pinkish, but is rimmed in black - he is a special doodle! And, although I do give him kelp (not for his nose) it has made no difference in the color of his nose. Somewhat scientific proof?"
"I love the doodles on dk with light eyes and pink noses. Awesome! I like the dark noses also. Awesome! Clancy and Ned's noses are dark - always. Our lab mix (who was golden) had a nose that got lighter as he aged as well as…"
"All my labs and now my doodle's nose has faded. I love the fading. Almost as if watercolors were used
to shade. I call Spud's nose a Taupe color :)
I don't know what to tell you if you don't like it or want the…"
The picture of Quincy and your son is cute. Your son has gorgeous eyes! You are going to have some awesome photo opportunities with those two cuties. Keep the camera out and ready to go. Don't forget to share the pictures, though!
Monica...thank you for the friend request. Quincy is so adorable. I love his curly coat. It appears Quincy is going to be a bit bigger than you thought, I see. All I can say his there will be more of him to love.
Hi Monica! So good to hear from you...I haven't been very good about keeping up on DK the last few weeks. Quincy is adorable!!! We will have to have a playdate once Quincy gets all his shots and is ready to socialize. Yes, we are very excited about our new girl/boy! we are due in just 9 days! Teresa called me about her current red boy on Saturday and we came really close to taking him but decided that since we have been on the list for pick of the litter...and a bigger one for so long we could wait a few more weeks. Teresa has been emailing pics and updates of her current litter since they were born and they are precious...two look just like Murphy!
Sounds like you had a serious disconnect with your breeder about generation and size, huh? I know Quincy will be just perfect no matter what. maybe when you decide he needs a sibling you can get one from Teresa! Doodles are addictive you know!!!!!
We will bring our new baby home on August 5 and can't wait. We are going to let Murphy pick which one he wants so interested to see if he wants a boy or a girl...kind of hope it is a boy because I only have one possible girl name and lots of boy name choices.
I would love to get together soon and meet your little Quincy!
