What is the difference between posting in the "forum" vs posting in the "blogs"? probably a dumb question, but I have not yet figured it out.

On vacation in Naples, FL (with the girls) and missing all the DK updates and most of all my Bruin (ok and maybe DH just a titch). Hope I can find internet access again soon! Can't wait to check in again to see what all of you are up to.

Can't Wait to Vacation With My Doodle

My family just returned from our 1st Annual Outer Banks vacation last night. We had such a great time. We stayed in a pet friendly house/area on Corova Beach. We saw a couple of doodles and of course I had to stop and say hello. Each person that I spoke with said "this is the best dog I have ever had"! I spoke with one doodle mom about her doodle and her small children (one being autistic) and she is just so happy with her doodle (6 mos).…

Hi Melody, I see an area off to the side of the dog shelter, is that open to the public? I think it is, I have never been there, but it's small and may be a good place to meet.
I can always go in and ask if there are certain hours that it's open, I only live a few miles from there. Once the warm weather hits again, I turned my heat on this morning!
I was just at Walmart, again, on Thursday. I love the big one in Madison compared to Mentor.
I also do a homecare case twice a week in Madison,it's down by the lake. I think Bruin and Pebbles will have fun together. How big is Bruin? Pebbles is around 60 pounds.

Hi Melody, Glad you were able to find a good groomer, and in Madison too! I looked at Bruin's grooming photos, he looks great.
Is there anywhere in Madison that we can get our doodles together? I had a bad experience at Mentor Dog Park with my non doodle, never went back after she was attacked. My non doodle is very protective of Pebbles when I bring a dog into our yard. Use to have the neighbors dog over, but if Pebbles and neighbors dog was having a good time, my non doodle would get a bit mean with neighbors dog. I think it was jealousy! Needless to say I wouldn't want Bruin to come over and experience that! I would love to meet both of you one day. Who knows, I could have run across you at Walmart!

Hi Melody, Have you decided on a groomer? Has Bruin ever been to a groomer? Just wondering who you currently use. I know Mentor is a bit far for you to go, is there one on Main Street in Madison? I don't know how they are there. It's hard to find a good groomer. When I first got my cocker in the early 90's, I was never satisfied with her cuts. Not until I found Chris. Pebbles is scheduled for noon tomorrow. Just a bath and a trim. I can't believe how big Bruin got, adorable!
