"We have a multi-level house also. I had never heard such a thing until I took Molly to day care for the first time and one of the staff mentioned it to me. Ever since that day, I have been obsessed with worry that I have…"

Thanks for the reply. I really wanted a little larger dog but I wouldn't trade Molly for anything. We so adore her. She has become a real little cuddler and learns faster than any dog we have ever had. I think we might get another one but I believe I am going to look for a medium size this time. I thought that she would be around 30-35 lbs and now I think more like you...maybe 25 max. Your little fella, Barney is really cute. Have a great day. Lizette
Your puppy is precious! How old is Barney? My Maggie (13 wks old) is still occasionally going potty inside, but seems to be only when I'm home with her! I keep her in a room with a doggie door during the day when I'm at work and have had no issues then.
Your Barney could be a twin to my Maggie! I have such a hard time getting her to be still to take a picture (thus the picture of me holding her while someone else snaps!) Maggie Mae is 12 weeks old and SOOO much fun. I have not had a puppy in 12-13 years myself so this is interesting. They are very smart dogs!
I hope Barney has as much fun on Halloween as Sophie did. He sure is a cute pup. I had a lady tell me after falling in love with Sophie while trick or treating that she was going to switch from breeding collies to the black golden doodles. She had been doing research on the doodle and is partial to the black coloring.
Thanks! I find I'm need a fair bit of affirmation raising this pup. Our last dog we adopted at 2, and he lived to be 14 1/2, so I haven't done the puppy thing in a long, long time. Peanut butter is an inexpensive solution....he gobbled his food down in no time flat! And then also had a big drink. :)
Do you think it's okay to use the melted peanut butter? He seems like a really picky eater. However - with a little peanut butter on, and I'm talking just a wee little bit, he dove into that bowl of food. And now his energy is back. I missed his busyness all day!
