I am posting this on the puppy madness group as our island mini doodle just turned 1 year old. She had gotten pretty matted , especially after she was boarded. Her hair was shaved , so we could strt over. This girl weighs five pounds. Since the grooming she will not walk on a leash, as she used to. She refuses to walk. So we carry her. How to Use a matting tool
I have an 11 month old Island Mini Doodle. The first litter of her kind, so there is not too much info out there on their coats. Her hair is long, like a Havanese. I did purchase a mat rake but not sure about how to use it. She is really matted. I would not like to have her shaved down as she would look like some sort of rodent, at her size, about 5 pounds.
