- I've been called "Ellie Mae" (from the Beverly Hillbillies) ever since I can remember. I have always found or had dogs follow me home. I like dogs better than most people that I know. Dolly is the first dog that I have actually chosen. I just love her to death.
I'm really enjoying reading about and getting to know people that are as dog crazy as me.
Dolly and I live in Florida with my husband of 24 years, my daughter's 2 chihuahuas and our 3 pretty much adult children moving in and moving out at various times. I'm a REALTOR in SW Florida where the housing market is bottoming out and there are great buys to be found. I'm also a licensed cosmetologist and work at a nursing home 2 days a week with people that I really love.

Dolly is smart, affectionate, cuddely and the cutest thing I've ever seen

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- As I've mentioned, I haven't usually chosen dogs; they chose me. So when I found that I finally had the opportunity to pick what I wanted, I did a lot of research. Although I wasn't sure I was ready, I put in my application on a waiting list and was called much sooner than I expected. Dolly is exactly what I wanted.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Dolly and I love to walk. We walk about 3 miles every morning. Dolly enjoys cooling off on the top step of the pool afterwards. We also enjoy hiking when we go to North Carolina.

You can use all the tags you want that are not slide show tags...tags that describe your photo.
If you go back to the discussion about how to get your doodle on the front page slide show...toward the bottom it talks about tagging.
If you tag your photos: cream, goldendoodle, f1b, Dolly, ... etc... those are all great because then someone doing a photo search for "cream" will find your beautiful Dolly. Or someone looking for goldendoodle will find her too. It also makes it easier for you if you have tons of photos eventually to find one you are looking for if you have useful tags. You can tag with the word 'swimming' for photos of her swimming or 'spring' or whatever is relevant in the photo.

-- remember for future front page slide show submissions to only tag 1-2 photos with the tag word because I can only use so many photos from one person (so that everyone has a chance because only 100 photos can fit). And when I make the slide show I can't always tell which doodle is which.

Larry PD said… - Leslie, I use a Canon 40d. My wife bought me a Canon Digital Rebel XT about 3 years ago for Christmas and I have given that camera to my son when I bought the one I have now. I've found that there is as much learning with photo-editing software as there is in learning to use a camera. In reality, almost any of the DSLR cameras will do a great job. Don't be afraid to give one a try. You have a wonderful set of pictures already!
If you're ever in SF let me know, maybe we could meet at the dog park or anywhere else!
