Charley is 15 weeks and she weighs 35 pounds. I can't lift her anymore. I'm curious what you all think. I've used the pupvana (sp) and it says that she will be 110. But I don't believe it. Should I???See More

Charlie is so adorable, reminds me of Lucy at that age (she was more cream though). What kind of doodle is she? Oscar, our new puppy, comes home a week from today and my head is swimming, trying to remember Lucy when she came home. I have to remember the training routine, the potty routine, the sleep routine, all of it. Heaven help me!

Thanks for the friends request! We are in Escondido to be exact. Love San Diego county but there don't seem to have any Doodle Romp activity going on here and the closest one was at Malibu Beach :-( Hoping someone could/would come up with that as it was so much fun to have oodles of doodles romping around!

Hi Laurie, you used to live in Grants Pass and I used to live in Seattle lol. I have been in Medford for 40 years with the exception of 5 years up north.
We have a deposit on a puppy from a breeder in Sherwood and he/she will be ready to come home Jan. 6th. We haven't had a puppy for a really long time and I am trying to be totally prepared, just like expecting a baby only with teeth. We are deciding between two litters [ neither born yet ] one reds and creams, the other litter browns. I guess we will have to see what they look like and I am sure we will be super happy with any color. I am leaning away from cream because our last dog was beige and I don't want this new puppy to look so much like our 16 year old yorkiepoo.

Linda, Charlie Brown & Beau said… Hi Laurie ~ I just sent you a friend request. I also live in Washington State (but east of the mountains). Just curious where your breeder is in comparison to your town. Did she give you a reason that she wanted you to pick up the puppy so early? When we were looking for a breeder, we interviewed several and I do not recall any of them wanted puppies picked up before 8 wks. But having said that I only talked with 3 breeders all in different parts of the state. I gave not heard that there is a law in WA, but there should be - darn it. Just gives them a better start in life.

Thanks for the friend request. And thanks for your comment. It helps knowing not everyone had perfect breeder communication. It has left more doubts in my mind to constantly read those. I'm sure there are lots of other Doodles out there I'd be happy with but you gotta stop looking sometime or you'd never get one. LOL
