"I did the same type of thing with a hotdog at the edge of the counter. The food was tied to a string that was attached to a plastic tray of coins. Wally grabbed the hotdog, which tugged on the string, which pulled the tray of coins off of the…"
"Nationwide (formerly VPI) is the company we use for Wally and Charlotte. We signed up both dogs when they were puppies, and the reimbursements have more than paid for the premiums. Because of our travelling, our dogs go to three different…"
I'm in my early 50s and live in a Boston suburb with my husband and our labradoodles, Wally and Charlotte. I'm also the mom of two grown children. I worked as a writer and teacher before becoming lucky enough to retire early. I spend my time with my husband, friends, family, and my furry buddies. I also enjoy cooking, photography, knitting, reading and walking - we take a couple of good walks each day. That's me in a nutshell. Oh, and we're in Cape Cod during the summer and Naples, Florida, for the winter.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Wally is an Australian Labradoodle from Tegan Park in Florida. His birthday is May 21, 2006. His parents are Zimba and Paige. He is extremely friendly and loves everybody and every animal he meets! Charlotte is also an Australian Labradoodle, and is from Heartsong Labradoodles in Kentucky. She was born on June 7, 2012. Her parents are Mattie and Cole. So far, at 11 weeks of age, she's a dream and we love her to pieces! And equally important is that Wally likes her, too.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
We enjoy going for long walks with friends, and spending time outside. Wally LOVES to play football in our backyard. We also enjoy hiking in the town forest and going to Elm Bank and the Weston Reservoir. Wally really likes to go swimming, especially at Crystal Lake in Orleans on the Cape. When Charlotte is a bit older, I hope to get her out in the world, just like her big brother.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
I do regular brushing, and they go to the groomer every 6-8 weeks.

Glad to share my breeder's name. She is wonderful and my Groucho Too was also from her kennel. He passed over the bridge in 2014 and I have been working with her since them to get the puppy of my dreams - hence my Sheepadoodle that I pick up in 10 days. Her name is Sharon Merriman and her kennel is Designer Doodles in Deer Park, Washington (near Spokane). She may have a few more pups available right now if you are in the market. Tell her I recommended her to you. The telephone number is (509)276-2703.
Your Aussie Doods are simply gorgeous...and they look so incredibly sweet. Lucky you! HA! and of course, lucky them. Cute cute cute. A couple of my friends just got aussie's so I will get first hand info on how they fall in love with their babies.

Haha...yes. We get SPAMMERS now and then. If only these spammers would get a feel for their audience they'd realize most of us ARE women and would prefer to see a doodle in a bikini than them ;-) I ban these new members as soon as I see them or someone reports them. If you click on their photos all that will happen is you'll be taken to their DK profile page...
