I just read your wonderful discussion and came to your page to see more pictures of the lovely Zoe.  Gorgeous coloring.  My daughter has a rescue Lhasa/poodle dog who is brindle also, but has matured into gray/black w/o the reddish/chocolate. Zoe is so strikingly fabulous.

Ned was mischief-filled as a pup also.  I think they all are actually :-}  Ned's most expensive 'chews' were my glasses and the computer connecter wire. He also chewed a corner off the book I was wrapping for my daughter for Christmas - I turned my back to answer the phone and poof the book corner was chewed - luckily no part of the story was harmed :-\

just sent you a friend request because I have a Stargazer pup and Mary used us as a reference to another family. I can copy you the e-mails that I sent the other woman if you want.  But briefly, Ned is a healthy, friendly just above mini-size, ALD.  He is smart, not extremely high energy, fun to take places.  I think Mary's prices are the best around and that her dogs are from good stock. He is from different parents but here is a picture of him when he was at Stargazer At  a year:Now at 4 years:

Ned happens to have a high maintenance coat, but we have time to keep it longer and fluffy.

Welcome! I agree that doodles are unbelievably expensive, however, if you do decide to buy one, I caution you not to purchase from someone who advertises dogs at what appear to be majorly cut-rate prices - most often these doodles are puppy mill or backyard bred dogs.
