About Me:

I have 7 dogs and I am the Regional Director for DRC. I love any kind of animal. I have 30 ducks and rescue for Carolina Waterfowl Rescue. I have 20 chickens and 15 pigeons. And don't forget my 4 cats. I'll rescue anything. ALL my animals are spoiled and yes that means the ducks and the chickens.

Jackie was the best doodle in the world. She is waiting for me in heaven after taking care of me for 14 years. She is why I love any kind of doodle and why I rescue them.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?

Shelter

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

She stole my heart. Looked me straight in the eyes and chose me. Very intelligent, very loving. She loved all animals. She was very trusting. And her look............well who can resist that hair???!!!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Jackie loved to fish. If I didn't catch one fast enough for her she would swim to the bobber. We loved to go to the beach. Loved to play fetch.

Does your doodle(s) shed?

A little bit but nothing major

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

Jackie was groomed easily by me.

Favorite Doodle Products?

tennis balls. of course doggie tennis balls. Real tennis balls will wear their teeth down. Enzyme supplements for adding to dry dog food. Fish oil for a great coat. Water toys and a pool.

Matthew Is Home Again...........................

Just got back from getting Matt and settling him in. His lumbar shots went well. He was a trooper thru the pain. Now for the 5 weeks of quiet.

Matt is doing super terrific. I took him by the vet last week to check his weight. He has gained 6 pounds. He is no longer boney. He is no longer lethargic.

The only place that I seem to have trouble is the COME when they are outside. Otherwise they are pretty well behaved. Well, ok, the jumping when company comes is another. The one time I let them off, they did come back when I called them. I thought I'd have the same problem at the Dog Park, but they won't leave my side at the dog park. They don't really enjoy being around large groups of other dogs. It is "Slobber city"! I will take your advice and walk them on least on the path several times and then try letting them go again and see how it goes (ensuring I have lots and lots of yummy treats). They will be with my dads lab and her recall is very good. Again, thanks.
