I try to read most of the posts about grooming but still remain a bit confused! There was a thread that went around about posting pics of their groomed doodle to give people more ideas. That would…Continue

Okay, I have REALLY tried to understand the coat type-thing. I am just as lost now as I was when I started! What type of coat does Ridley have? Here are pics... are they helpful? Or do they need…Continue

We have a 6month old golden doodle. He is EXTREMELY low key and probably the best puppy we could have hoped for, seriously (nothing chewed up, nothing peed on, no barking, etc)!! My mom has a…Continue

I have noticed that when my mom allows her standard poodles hair to grow, it's real shaggy but when she gets it cute it's classic poodle look. We have an F1 goldendoodle that is 16weeks old and we…Continue

Ginny Nightingale said… I have sent you a friend request so I can speak with you about breeders more specifically. Also, please do some reading on our site to give you a better idea about doodles--for example, many doodles shed!! There is a lot of misinformation out there about this "breed"--it is a mix, so you never know exactly what you will get! Some doodles are shy and anxious (see the anxiety group!) and some are very rambunctious--so when you go to see pups at a breeder's facility, the most important thing is temperament!! The breeder may also have an idea of coat type but if non-shedding is important to you, you should look for a fairly curly pup--an F1b is a labradoodle crossed back to a poodle and may have a curlier coat for example. If the breeder only has F1s, they are great dogs, but some may have more issues with shedding--
