I am sure you do not want to hear this again..but your dog is adorable before and after. She will be much more comfortable too..I live in Tampabay. My dog gets groomed by Whitneys grooming and she hand scissor cuts him so he will not look like a poodle. She always tries to even out my dogs hair and I too brought in a picture and she was a good sport about it. I live in Pinellas County-but I like your dogs cut, so not sure Whitney would be better. And best news is since you do not like it-is that it grows back fast!! I can relate to the shaving the nose area-I had that happen once and hated it too. It grew back really fast though.
Kim..your little Abby and my Chloe look soo much alike they could be sisters!
I love your 1st grooming pics, looks like they did a great job. Chloe is almost 8 months and I still havent wanted to get her hair cut since I am afraid..and I love her tousled lovely waves~
As for her spaying, it has been a breeze so far, and the vet said to just watch her activity, but that she will do what she feels like. Its hard to keep her still today already she wants to rough house with her big brother, so I have been keeping an eye on them. Good luck and keep us posted.
Hi Kim, I cannot respond to your question from my cell phone so I'll answer here. YES, teenaged puppihood is a whole new training stage. Time to get firm with her and expect new rebellion like counter surfing, sock stealing, paper shredding, and just plain ignoring you. Glad you have a trainer involved. I hope you get lots of great advice. It will get better if you stay on top of it. :o)
Meet Beckett, a 13 month old male minigoldendoodle I rescued last weekend. As you can see in the two photos on top, he was badly matted, had fleas & ticks, and had to be shaved down. The pup had never had toys, except a couple of tennis balls,…
That is exactly the way I feel. We started with two 20 min walks per day as all the sources I noted mentioned. The walks are now up to 30-40 once per day with a short 20 minute walk in the evening. Hubby takes Hurley for an…"
"Happy Birthday to Abby!!!
I am also a runner. My vet, Hurley's breeder, and Hurley's trainer all say I am not to start him running with me before he is 18 months and preferably wait until he is two years old. The concern…"
So first let me start by saying my sweet Abby turned one on Sunday. It rained all day and she was stuck in the house. Needless to say, she was not a happy doodle. Abby is a pretty active dog. I try to get her outside to play fetch with the chuck-it daily. She loves to run and it helps tire her out. But, and I know this may…See More
"I would keep an eye on McDoodles website. It is a breeder in the Tampa area. Kelly (I think that is the breeder's name) sometimes has rehome doodles. When purchasing a dog from McDoodles, Kelly asks the owners to give the dog back to her should…"
