- About Me:
- Husband and I married 31 years - Empty nesters. 3 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws (with 3rd to come -wedding in March 2011) and 1 grandson -almost 2 yrs old. (After the wedding, will 'officially' have 2 grandsons). I work as a pediatric occupational therapist in the educational setting.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- 2 weeks ago we got our Labradoodle - Luke. He is a 5 month old chocolate F1 and is our only pet. WE TOTALLY LOVE HIM ALREADY!!!!
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- We had a chocolate lab (13 yrs) and LOVED her lovable, loyal, great with family temperament. We then rescued a chocolate lab/border collie and, after 6 years, let her go with family. Then, after some research, we decided the labradoodle would be a great fit for us. While my family had a poodle when I was a child, we really wanted the lab temperament and were hopeful for less shedding. We were especially looking for a doodle that looked like Luke and when we found him...it was truly love at first sight!
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- I love our walks and playing together!
Although right now we are in training mode since he lived outside in the country hills of Missouri and is learning to dwell indoors in a Central Illinois town. He is so smart though and already walks well on a leash and follows simple commands!

- A little bit but nothing major

Stella said… - Luke looks just like my Hartley did when he was a puppy. Hartley is also an F1 that came out more towards the labbish than the poodle. I just love these F1s!! I'd love to see some other pics of Luke as he gets older. Feel free to check out my page to see what he might look like when he grows up! I have a multi-gen too, so don't get freaked out by the curly puppy in there too!!
