During cleaning up outside for fall, my husband put some leftover suet in the firepit - well, guess who found it and started eating it?? My boy Cooper! He got ash/soot all over his chin, paws and…Continue

"Welcome! Marley is ADORABLE!! We rehomed/adopted our Cooper when he was 18 months (he just turned 2), so we didn't experience the early puppy life - that's good and bad. However, we do not regret - ever - our decision to adopt him. He is…"

Grooming Disaster/SUCCESS

So, after the groomer shaved Cooper so  that he was miserable(itching) -  my husband & I decided that we would give it a try ourselves. Turns out, Cooper was awesome! We felt SO bad for our boy when we picked him up - I almost cried. The groomer said he was matted - which I dispute because I was meticulous when I brushed him, always making sure I could get to skin. I think, since it was her last  before Christmas Eve, that she just wanted to get out early. Sorry, but that's my feeling.…See More

Profile Information

About Me:
My husband and I are baby boomers who recently lost our lab. After a short time, we knew we needed another "family member". We were looking to rescue, however, we were fortunate enough to come across an add for a double doodle who needed a new home. As soon as we met Cooper, we knew he was the one for us and vice versa! He is intelligent, funny, energetic, and affectionate. We just love him!!
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Cooper is a double doodle-Mom is a golden doodle and Dad is a labradoodle. He was purchased from a reputable breeder by his first family.
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
We have always had labs and goldens- we loved both breeds, so add that with no shedding and he was perfect for us!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
We love to play games outside as well as inside! He learned hide & seek with his ball in no time. Plus, he's quite the jumper, so anything you throw in the air, he'll catch!! However, playing fetch is a challenge- he'll fetch it alright, but don't expect to get the ball back without some teasing. He also loves rolling his large exercise ball around our large fenced in backyard! That's quite a site😊
Lastly, we love just relaxing with him in the evening. Cooper is such a sweet, sweet boy❤️
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
A professional groomer
