- About Me:
- I am a retired teacher, living in the Bay Area of S.F. We spend our winters down in the Palm Desert area and also love the mountains, the ocean, etc.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Our Willie, from Manor Lake Labradoodles, is almost 5. He is our very precious "dog child" and everyone in our area knows him and loves him. He loved agility training and could run faster and jump more gracefully than any of the other dogs....our unbiased opinion, of course. Willie loves to be with us, sitting next to us while we read or watch TV. He is THE BEST DOG EVER.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- Because I researched labradoodles and felt that to get an authentic Australian mini labradoodle, I needed to use a reputable breeder.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Everything...we walk, we visit our friends, go to the coffee shop, walk, take a rest, walk, watch TV, walk...
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- Nope!
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- A local groomer, Vanessa's Pet Spa, in Alamo, CA.
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- pooch brush, puppy bells for the front door

Be sure to check out the groups section on the main page and join as many as you like. Just an FYI - there is a Manor Lakes Group. I'm glad to see you and Willie are doing well, and I'm sorry to hear about his tummy rash. Many environmental allergies appear on the skin in the form of a rash or hot spot, as opposed to a food allergy which is usually accompanied with yucky ears (brown waxy g***) in the ears - so personally I don't think Willie has a food allergy, I think it is more environmental, but I would consult a vet...the vet might prescribe a medicated shampoo to provide temporary relief.
Just some thoughts, perhaps Willie is sleeping on a new bedding fabric (??) that might cause the itch, or if you are using any type of "carpet fresh" product, or a fragranced grooming product, or maybe it's just razor burn from a close tummy shave. It will definitely require some investigation and observation. Since it is just on his tummy my hunch is that it is something he is resting on, or some type of irritating surface like concrete (the lime content) or a wood deck (my dog had an allergy to pine).
Please let me know if you discover the cause of his rash, I will be interested to know.

For example, there are groups for grooming, nutrition, health/medical, types of doodles, puppy groups etc. Look at the top of your page and click on Groups - check them out. Enjoy!

Welcome to DoodleKisses - a great website for doodle lovers everywhere. We have a few things in common. I am also a retired teacher (elementary) and have an ALD, as well as a goldendoodle. Right now we are caring for another labradoodle whose family is vacationing in Germany. So we have a full house of doodles. Keeps me busy. If you ever get down to Carmel Beach, get in contact with me. We love to meet other doodles at the beach.
