- About Me:
- I am a professional house hunter/marketing consultant (aka Realtor), living and loving life in Downtown Silver Spring - Right next to DC. I am an overambitious crafter/chef/photographer with a never ending to do list of projects, but ready for the next snowmageddon.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- I have a medium first generation goldendoodle (mother Golden, father poodle) named Lucie. I can't believe that she is 3 and a half, although I'd like to think we are at the start of the doodle "golden years" and maybe beyond the teenage stage.
Lucie is one special dog, and very much loved by her mother, Aunt, Uncle, Grandma, and Grandpa. In fact they love her so much that they invite her to visit all of the time, and they now figure they don't need to get their own dog. Lucie likes having 3 families, although she wishes they would all live together in one house, she is just happy that she can love all of them and that they will play fetch with her (and have learned to please throw the ball so it bounces, because that's how she likes to catch it).
Lucie's larger than life personality means no need to get another pet for now, she manages to keep all of us very occupied and entertained!
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- Love the personality of Golden Retrievers, and the smaller size and possibility of not shedding (at least maybe not as much!). And everyone who has one said they were the most awesome dog.
Also in my opinion the cutest dogs I've ever seen, but that alone was not my primary reason - I sometimes think if she were less cute I would be better at not giving in to the "sad eyes".
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Playing outside, playing fetch, splashing through puddles, running through sprinklers, hiking and swimming in Rock Creek Park
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- Nope!
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- ME! *edit* that lasted a few years... now she goes to the groomer for her moms sanity.
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- Buddy Wash!!! (I even buy it by the gallon now) gets her clean and shiny quickly and easily regardless of how much mud or sand is embedded in her fur

- Single

Not the best doodle mom...

I have to admit that I have been too busy with my own blogging to work on Lucie's blog. I am really going to work on that because I think of stories I want to share ALL THE TIME however I "think" that I don't have time to write them down. I am going to make time though from now on. Lucie on the other hand has plenty of time, if only those paws could type...just part of that frustrating communication barrier!
