What type of brush are you using.  Have you tried it on yourself to see if you are applying too much pressure and it hurts her?  I started brushing Charlie very gently when we first got him and just used a brush that had rubber tips on the ends of the tines.  I also gave him a little massage when he was tired and trying to take a nap.  By the time he was 6 mos old he was getting his brushing first thing in the a.m. and then was good for the day.  I also use a Les Pouches brush to get out any tangles now.  Lola is in a tough stage of grooming because she is probably going through the coat change for the next few months.  You will most likely find the adult coat easier to deal with.  I would keep trying to brush her even for just a few minutes initially many times throughout the day until she gets used to you handling her.     Good luck. I think your Lola is just a doll!

There is another member who has a red from the same parents my Bear came from at Spring Creek. You can look them up...her name is also Julie and her dog is Bochy. I tried to find other members on here that have Spring Creek doodles, but I'm not too familiar with the site and how it works yet.

Hi Jessica - I just knew it the second I saw her, but wanted to ask to be sure. They certainly have a distinct look. My Bear is from Gunner & Dancer and he is only going on 10 months. He is a pretty good boy, but he does not like to be groomed and is very mouthy about it. What I mean by that is, he has to have his mouth on your hands trying to get you to stop. I've only taken him to a professional groomer one time and they weren't too thrilled with him. Other than that, he is a lover and just a realy sweet boy who brings a lot of fun to our home.
