"Neely does the same thing. I pretty much trained him to do this accidentally. I usually sit in the reclined position so when ever he walked by I would pet him with my feet, my feet wouldn't make contact until his rear end was closer the way the…"
"Yup. My Lolli is 9 months old and *is* shy and fearful of other dogs. She is definitely passive and barks like a loon if another dog is near. She was one who will lay flat if someone new comes up to her to pet her adorableness.…"
"is it time for Breakfast, Snack, or Dinner yet????" With a head tilt of course!
"hey Buddy, wanna play? wanna huh wanna? As she shoves a ball or frisbee in his face, or knaws on his legs...."
"I love hearing what the doodles would say!
Jack would say "Where are you going to step next so I know where I should step next?!" or "Pick me up and hold me!" Really!
Jilly would say " Not if I can squirm my way in there…"
"When Zoe is sitting on the couch Bender likes to sit at our feet on the floor next to the couch. Zoe always paws at his head and we say in Zoe voice "GET OUT OF HERE GET OUT OF HERE".
But I think she's pawing at him to…"
I am a SAHM and a National Recruiter for AVON. We are a family of four, with two girls, ages 14 and 12. We are very excited about the newest addition to our family and can't wait to bring her home and start getting to know her.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We are the proud parents of a beautiful Goldendoodle named Lollipop who was born on 7/14/2012. She is absolutely adorable.
We also have one cranky hedgehog who we love dearly, two chubby guinea pigs and a saltwater aquarium (aka - the money pit).
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
All out cuteness combined with allergies.
Do you have a website of your own? If so, share it here:
I thought Lolli looked more like a labradoodle than a goldendoodle. She really looked like a lab puppy. My Hondo (labradoodle) started out very much like her and then got lots of hair when he was older. She just looks more like a lab than a golden to me. But, you never know exactly how they will turn out.
Ahh, I understand the barrage of messages, various opinions, and what to do and not do. Was in a similar situation with Starlit ( my doodle who has since passed last January, and at the time very sick)
I looked for the old post and can not find what happened. I am sorry it hurt you so. I hope things are better for you and your beautiful Lolli. It sounds like it is going wonderful and she is a very special and lucky dog to have you.
Jennet, I have no doubt you too, are passionate about your dog and love her so much. It is not fair to Heidi that we hash out your hurt feelings in her discussion.
But seriously, whining about getting your feelings hurt vs possibly getting a pup with life-long issues will not even out on any scale.
I'm trying to be polite- but I have fostered, taken in very very sick mentally ill dogs, adopted one who I tragically lost at the age of two and ....
Well, we were trying to give this girl Good Advice. Not say it is okay because it worked for you. Does that make sense. Just because of weather was her reason. Thus, I saw that as a negative variable in her situation. Lets give good advice, so no one ends up in some of these horrible situations- thousands spent on training, children getting bit, dogs euthanized all because of early mistakes by horrible breeders and inexperienced puppy owners.
Lets out way our sometimes overly sensitive situations for the betterment of humans and dogs!
Hi Jennett and Lolli! Welcome to the GRAD group! The scorching hot summer has been a slow time for any outings, but I'm sure when things begin to cool down, we will have a few informal get togethers. :-) Lolli is just precious!! I have 2 doodles - a goldendoodle and an Australian Labradoodle! I don't think you could make a better choice. :-)
I am a trainer specializing in puppies (although I do train dogs). If I can help you in any way please let me know. www.siriuslycanine.com
