I found Wynnie trembling today for no reason. She woke up normally and jumped up on the bed to enjoy some "rub a tummy time" with DW and me. Did her usual business outside and ate breakfast. Ninety…Continue

Wynnie & Jim replied to Haley, Yeti, and Phin's discussion Harness
"Wynnie has used the SENSE-ation Harness for two years and it goes on easily and works very well. Amazon has it and the following is a description from that site. I recommend this harness. "Sense-ation is a no-pull dog harness that works…"

Wynnie & Jim replied to Brenda Kaylor's discussion Miniature Golden doodles
"Like Amy, we have a mini F1b goldendoodle. She is the offspring of a F1 35 lb female and a 9 lb poodle. Our Wynnie weighs 23 lbs and is the best dog that I have ever had. She came from a breeder who had her parents tested for all the things that…"

Wynnie & Jim replied to Dawn's discussion Goldendoodle Aggression
"Nikki, don't be discouraged. Breaking a bad habit does not happen overnight. Be patient and keep working on the tips given by the trainer. Use whatever item that your pup values highly. Stay 10 feet away, then toss a treat. See if he leaves it…"

Wynnie & Jim replied to Dawn's discussion Goldendoodle Aggression
"Nikki, there is hope. Wynnie was a guarder between the ages of 6 and 8 months. We were really frustrated and sought the help of a trainer. We were patient and worked hard with Wynnie and by her 1st birthday, she had passed the Canine Good Citizen…"

Wynnie & Jim replied to Julie K's discussion Mini Doodle - Questions about Size and Temperaments
"I forgot to add to my note that Wynnie is an f1b mini and that she weighs 23 lbs. Her mother was an f1, all white and weighed 36 lbs and the dad was a poodle who weighed 9 lbs. As for training, I spent one day a week (one hour) for six weeks in each…"

Wynnie & Jim replied to Julie K's discussion Mini Doodle - Questions about Size and Temperaments
"Our mini goldendoodle is now 2-1/2 years old and has a very sweet temperament. That said, Wynnie was a typical puppy. She nipped at heals, guarded her sticks and tennis balls but with a lot of patience and training, she out grew all of these issues.…"

Wynnie & Jim replied to Marley & Me's discussion Are Doodles harder to potty train?
"Wynnie's breeder said "no water after 6:30pm." I followed that rule but on occasion when I didn't get my winter coat and boots on fast enough, she would have an accident on the floor but it was rare. She also slept through the…"

Wynnie & Jim replied to Wynnie & Jim's discussion Parastar Reaction?
"Yes, it is unusual. We return home to the frozen tundra of the NEast on March 2 when the risk of mosquitos and ticks is zero. I plan to apply Parastar Plus in mid March and see if she has a reaction. I am hoping that this latest event is a one off…"

Parastar Reaction?

Last night Wynnie was on my lap and I noticed a wound the size of two small peas just above her shoulder blades. Each one had a blood covered scab. We are staying in Florida for the month so a friend called her vet and I was able to get Wynnie an appointment today. The vet believed that the sores could have been a reaction to Parastar Plus, so she shaved and cleaned the spots. She also gave Wynnie a shot of Covenia. Is there anything that I need to know about this antibiotic? Are there any side…See More

Wynnie & Jim replied to c zoomer's discussion Picking size to avoid counter surfing!
