- My husband & I love dogs. My last dog was a Golden Retriever who passed on. I missed her terribly, but missed having a dog so much. We knew a good breeder and got TWO Labradoodles and love it!
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- We have 2 labradoodles. One is more labrador and one is more poodle! They are sisters and litter mates. They are 4 months old and are huge! They are vey smart and SOOOOOO cute! Their names are Remy and Roux (pronounced Roo)

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I worked with a disabled person in a wheelchair who had 2 labradoodle service dogs. Also after having my Golden and before that a Newfoundland, the idea of no shedding was nice!
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Everything but especially going to our dog park! It's fun to watch them play. AND I really like to curl up with them at the end of the day and watch tv!

Karen & Jackdoodle said… Thanks for the nice comments, Heidi! Sadly, I'm a technology moron and my DD helps me with this stuff. Most of the music on my page I got from my own CDs, but my DD has taken some from iTunes, I think.
There's a group here called Making Your Front Page Shine or something like that where they can help you with all of this. Do a search under the Groups tab, you should find it. Good luck!

Me and my husband just moved to Panama City in August, I miss my old dentist (endodontist) that I worked for SO bad. He was the nicest man, he was definitely an amazing father-figure to me. I bring him up because you said you two had Golden Retrievers, well so did he. Right before I started working for him his 10 yr old Golden passed away, and he had gotten a new Golden Retriever puppy! Oh, we were just visiting my in-laws. We were only there for a few hours this time. My Mother-in -law made us dinner and then we headed back home to Jacksonville. It was a loooong trip since we had just come from Hollywood FL. Here in Jacksonville we have "meetup groups" for just about anything you are interested in . There is one called Doodles of Jacksonville. Just go to Meetup.com and check it out. I'm not sure if that is just a local thing or if they have it in all areas. We are having a romp here this Sat Nov 10. You are more than welcome to come! But I know that is a long trip just for a doggie playdate.

Oh Heidi, I do wish I had looked at DK before now. I was actually at my in-laws house today. We had to go to Hollywood Fl on Sunday. My daughter got a new job and we went there to get her all set up and moved in. On the way back we Stopped by Spring Hill to visit. I would have loved to get together! Next time we head that way, I will definitely let you know!

I sincerely hope that all doodle lovers and their doodles survived along with anyone touched in any way by Sandy.
Heidi, your two girls are beautiful! I have been hinting to my husband that I think we should consider another doodle so Hurley has a playmate but that doesn't go over to well, especially since he has plenty of play days with other dogs/doodles.
We would be interested in knowing more about the guided week long bike tours. At one time we toyed with the Back Roads Mt Bike trip in Africa. I don't know if they even offer it anymore and it has been quite awhile since we have rode our bikes a lot.
BTW. Love the slide show of your 'kids'.
