Gave Yeti a new chew yesterday I believe it has given him an upset tummy. He hardly ate this morning but I chalked it up to the humidity and heat. He has been a bump on a log all afternoon and I took him out to go potty and he had soft poop.…Continue

I am considering switching vets when we get our second dog. We have a lot of vet offices in our town, but we choose one out of town based on a recommendation of a friend. The vet office we currently go to is about 20-30 minutes away (depending on traffic, which is usually always terrible when we have to be somewhere at a certain time). Yeti is MY first animal, so I didn't really know what to look for in a vet, so I guess my question is, what do YOU look for in your vet? We do really like our…See More

Actually, sounds rather normal from my experience.  But a good idea to start your relationship with your vet.  It couldn't hurt to get him checked out.  I think your long car ride was an excellent opportunity for some early bonding.  I was looking forward to a long car ride to pick up our new pup, but had to cancel this car vacation because of health problems in my husband's family.  I am going to fly up to get the pup.  We will still have plenty of time to bond.
