I am SOOO sad I couldn't make it....there is just too much to do and not enough time!
I hope I can make it to the next doodle romp or mini romp...Lily would so much love to play with dogs and I would love to watch her!
I would close the fence off as best possible. I have small chicken wire type pieces of fence where the spaces are ( I have a small Yorkie)) and I haven't seen any rabbits. I do have them out front where there is no fence.
Yep..Maddy was going after the rabbit poop and deer poop too - yuck is right! I even tried sprinkling hot sauce on it..she ate it...then I doused it with vinegar...still ate it...we just tried to keep her away from it or distract her if we could..fo…
I know this problem isn't indigenious to NJ, but we do have an awful lots of wild rabbits roaming around. Lately, I've been noticing LOTS of rabbit poop in my backyard, of course where Lily likes to play. She has taken to eating it (ew!) so I've had…
I'm an elementary school teacher and my husband works in marketing research at Merck. We are so excited to have our first puppy!
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
A reddish colored F2b Labradoodle (a double doodle!)
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I grew up with 2 Portuguese Water Dogs, whom I love/loved dearly, but my husband and I thought we're try a different breed for ourselves. I need the non-shedding for allergies as well as sanity! :)
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Rub her belly (she loooooves that!), watch her play in the snow, watch her play with her best doggie friend, and play fetch with her!
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
My husband
Favorite Doodle Products?
Lily looooooves every toy we've given her, but she especially loves her "sleepie sheepie" and a large stuffed duck that has a very low "quack" sound.
Erica,
Lilly has a gorgeous face. I just love the close up pic you of her! How big is she?
I really hope you can make the romp. It will give you a chance (and Lilly) to spend hours socializing with Doodles. It is very different than with other breeds. If you can't, I understand. Hope to meet you soon!

Hi,
How are things going? Did you look into the play yard? Charli just loves hers - TG! Gives me a little break.

I always have advise - just ask my daughters! Samantha housebroke in just a few days which is pretty amazing since she came from a pet store where she had to P&P where she slept. Granted, she was 11 weeks old when she came home but she is special. She only had a handful of accidents and they were my fault. I got caught up in cooking and wasn't paying attention to her.
I would invest in a dog playyard. I bought one for Charli and just really started using it properly the other day and it has made a world of difference. You can put a rubber backed rug under it, just in case. The one I bought is from North Stars. It is 26" high. It can be used inside or out. When I no longer crate her during the day if I am out, I will leave Charli in the playyard in the kitchen. It will give Samantha a much needed time out from Charli.
Let me know what you decide to do.

My friend's dog, Riley (in pic) would not go in the water last year unless she was picked up and carried in. This year, they can't get her out of the water. Jersey took to it right away, and jumped right in. She is ball obsessed and all we had to do was throw the ball in the water. Some dogs just take a little longer getting used to it.
