Profile Information

About Me:
We are a small breeder of hand raised Australian Labradoodles with great attention to detail. Of course we do not need to tell you that, just check out what our doodle families are saying at Trinity Doodles 'Tails' from home.

Additionally I am a single mom to two amazing children ~ Jennifer and Nicholas. It is such a privilege to share this common passion with them and to watch each of them leave their mark on the 'happily ever after' stories our puppy families share with us.

Our 1st doodle Malachi joined our family several years ago. We fell head over heals in love with this breed and devoured all the information we could get our hands on. The addition of our furry family member changed our lives in ways we never could have imagined. Some of these revelations were very unique and provoked our curiousity whether others with similar needs might also benefit. We added several more doodles to the brood and just could not keep this to ourselves any longer. With that Trinity Doodles was born.

Today we take great pride in regards to the imprint we are privileged to make on future generations of Australian Labradoodles. Our approach involves total involvement and hands on of each member in our family. We spend much time with continuing education to ensure we utilize the most current information in every aspect of our program. Our potential breeding dogs are extensively health tested and evaluated in order to result in the very best qualities for their offspring. We also rely heavily on owner feedback so we can continue to track results well beyond our brief wonderful time with our puppies.

Looking ahead we are pursuing relationships with several rescue groups and hope to be involved in placement assistance as well as other needs we may be able to meet. Additionally we would like to pursue getting involved with the R.E.A.D. program with the our doodles.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We currently have 17 doodles in the house (or should I say the doodles have 3 humans in the house?). 2 are f1b's - Malachi and Ella. 4 are Multigeneration Australian Labradoodles ranging in size from mini to standard and are either adults or very near, they are Micah, Joy, Charity and Asher 'Janko'. And we have 11 oh so cute Australian Labradoodle puppies. Did I mention they all live in our home? Yep, we are one cozy little family!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
Where do I start? I first heard of doodles when my employer added a doodle to their household. What I heard from them stirred my curiousity and I found them to be the most incredible dogs I had ever come across. We did have some unique health needs which included but were not limited to allergies and asthma. Despite this, we found the perfect breed in Labradoodles.

And the verdict is in...

Last week I shared with you that the judge was to hand down sentencing to ChemNutra. ChemNutra was responsible for importing vegetable proteins tainted with melamine resulting in agony, heartbreak and loss for too many fur parents in 2007 ~ forced to say goodbye long before they should have. The result? The consequences were established as three years of probation and a $35,000 fine! For the moment I have no words to express my thoughts on this, unbelievable. I had held back in sharing becaus

Tell the Judge how you feel about ChemNutra

If you feel strongly about making those responsible for pet deaths to be held accountable please see Susan Thixton's (TruthAboutPet Food.Com) article pertaining to this. We have one day to let the judge know how we feel before the decision is handed down. Lets share that we are NOT the uninformed consumers the manufacturers think we are. We demand accountability on behalf of those we have had to say good bye to.… Continue

Our doodle dinner recipe

I have become some what of a food fanatic and frequently I have many exchanges with friends and future friends about food choices. Just today I was 'e'versing with a friend here on DK about a food we had presented to our panel of taste testers here. I decided that an excerpt of it is an does carry a message we should all keep in the back of our mind regarding nutritional selections for our beloved furkids and wanted to place that where it may be of more benefit to more people so here it is ~

Hi! Right now Taquito is on Solid Gold Holistique. I chose this because the phosphorous and sodium values were in line with the Hills - that my vet of course recommended, but I refused to try. I know the protein is 18% and a little higher than hills, but the ingredients are much better (obviously) and the sodium and phosphorous is a huge issue because they are hard for the kidneys to break down. I am having his blood tested March 10 - at that point he will have been on the Solid Gold for 5 months, so we should be able to see if it has helped. I have also cut out most treats - he gets pears and carrots (raw) mostly. I am really hoping it helps. A coworkers dog with advanced kidney issues has improved with Solid Gold H, so I am keeping my fingers crossed! The good news is T. loves this food. And he is soooo picky. WOuldn't touch the Innova that would have been okay for his kidneys...picked it out and put it on the floor...lol!

Dianne, I am hoping you might have some additional information concerning the shortage of Acana Pacifica in my area. I am in Atlanta, and of the many store that sell Acana, not a one of them has had the Pacifica in stock for weeks. They all said they are not sure when they will get any and when they do, it might just be one bag. A couple of store said that Champion could not keep up with the demand and that we should expect to find a shortage for maybe 6 months!! One store owner also said that Champion was looking into a US manufacturer; I took that to mean they were looking for a location in the US to make their food, not someone to make it for them, but I have no idea.

Have you or other seen a shortage of the Pacifica in your area, or is this just the supplier for the Atlanta area that is having trouble? I do not want to mail order as there are just too may stores here with great foods to bother with that. We did a almost cold switch on Bailey as he only had enough food for 2 meals. I had a hard time deciding if I should go with another fish based food, stay grain free, or just go with another Acana formula. In the end, I went with the Grassland figuring other than the protein, the food would be closer to the Pacifica. Bailey had zero trouble with the switch and all seems well 4 days later. He just turned 9 months old, so I am hoping it is ok to leave him on the Grassland full time. I have though since he didn't have trouble with the switch that maybe I would rotate between the Grassland and the Pacifica when it came back in. I know you rotate with the puppies, so I assume this will be fine. Someone mentioned to me that the ratio of ca:phos was too high for puppies; is this something I need to worry about at 9 months? Are there any differences I would notice on one food over the other? I think you mentioned possible yeasty ears on the lamb in the summer, but knock on wood, Bailey doesn't seem to have ear troubles-YET!!

Hello Dianne! What beautiful red babies! Everytime I see a picture of one of your new litters my "mothering instincts" try to take control. These cute little reds are really too much of a temptation!

Yes, Lexi was born in the Humane Society and fortunately had not experienced life in the Puppy Mill. We have tried several of the Acana kibbles, I will try the other brands that you had suggested. We are considering looking for another rescue if you hear of a Doodle........
thank you, Lee

Lexi from the time of her birth never would eat kibble. She was a rescue from the Marathon puppy mill, (see our Doodlekiss Page). Her foster gave her back to the Humane society at 5 weeks because of personal problems and thats the same day we adopted her. We fed her three times a day, formula and kibble mixed in the blender and even then she was a finicky eater. We have tried every 5 star canned and kibble available and feed her Orijen at every meal. We currently home cook for her, she will leave the Orijen in the dish, but loves chicken breast, ground beef, some pork ,satin balls, and cheese. no fruit, veggies. Guess we can just be thankful that she is so good and has been such a blessing to us. We continue to ask everyone for ideas on what else to try in her diet.........maybe some day. Right now we support Costco with purchases of lean ground beef and chicken breast. I was disapointed in the protein content of Weruva....She seemed to like it but we added chicken breast to supplement nutrician.......any ideas?

You are welcome to visit anytime. Bill took SImon out with him to feed the donkeys and they did not pay much attention to him so that is promising. However, Simon seems to have a thing for donkey poop (like most dogs who visit us). Needless to say he got his first bath today.
