Thanks for the inquiry. Unfortunately, there was not enough interest. I'm hoping when the weather starts to cool off a little, we'll be able to get more dogs and have a get together. :-) I'll post it here.
"Several vets I know say to get a rough estimate of a puppy's adult weight, double their weight at 4 months, then add 5-10 lbs depending on the size of the breed. Weighing 30 lbs at 5 months, I'm guessing as an adult she might weight 60-65…"
I worked at a high-end dog boutique/bakery for 6 years. In 2011, I began one-on-one puppy training (12 wks-2 yrs). In March 2012, I began a volunteer training program for the dogs at Richmond Animal League. We have had an excellent adoption rate with the dogs from the training program.I opened my own training business in Bon Air September 4, 2012 and offer multi-dog classes as well as one-on-one training. I offer puppy & dog obedience, Real Life training, as well as CGC and Therapy Dog prep.
Check out our FaceBook page - Siriusly Canine and our website listed below. I am an American Kennel Club certified evaluator for Canine Good Citizen and AKC Community Canine and also a tester/observer for Therapy Dogs, Inc (Cheyenne, WY).
In our family, we have Connor, our 7 year old goldendoodle, who is a total and complete sweetheart and Simon is our almost 6 year old cream and apricot standard Australian Labradoodle. We also have two indoor cats - a red-patch tabby Maine Coon and a brown tabby Maine Coon mix..
I'm also the mom of a wonderful adult human daughter who has a beautiful, sweet, yet quirky, longhair cat she adopted in 2010 (my grandcat) named William.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Connor is an F1 goldendoodle (9/14/07). He has a soft fleece/hair shaded gold/red coat.. He received his CGC and TDInc Therapy Dog certification in 2009 and we are proud to be a Therapy Team with Caring Canines.Simon is a multi-gen Australian labradoodle born 5/27/09. He has a cream and apricot spiral fleece coat and amber/green eyes. Simon has graduated from Advanced Obedience. Skylar, our rough coat collie, went to The Bridge 2 days after Thanksgiving 2013. He is greatly missed!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I fell in love with the temperament and look after meeting many of them at work.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Playing, cuddling, training, grooming. Connor is such a comedian...and he seems to be very pleased with himself when he makes me laugh! Simon is a great cuddler like his big doodle brother. My dogs are such a delight, just about everything we do ends up being great fun.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
A little bit but nothing major, Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
I groom Connor and Simon goes to Colleen at Good Dog Grooming in Bon Air.
Favorite Doodle Products?
Go Dog soft plush toys with Chew Guard - we have teddy bears & armadillos. West Paw Zogoflex toys, especially the TUX and BUMI, and their soft plush disc. Tuffies ultratough plush toys - we have a cow and pig.

Hi! Thanks for reaching out to us. That would be great. That is just this side of Richmond? If you could inbox me the details of the meet up that would be great. Clover would LOVE to meet and romp with some cool doods.
Thank you so much for your advice. I did not even think to ask my vet if he would cut Dougie's nails. You are a life saver. I love your photos AND congrats on all of your career accomplishments--very impressive!!!
Deb, How great that you could pull that dog from the shelter and get him on to a better life with the DRC's help. My trainer told me about someone re-homing a Doodle and I tried to get them to go the DRC route, but they wanted money, I think. They said they found him a home all on their own. It makes me sick that people don't care more about the welfare of their dog. I guess all we can do is keep trying.
