raw and missing fur between toes

I just noticed this morning that Lucy is missing fur between two of her toes.  It is obviously irritated and she keeps biting at it.    I put a sock on it so she would quit licking it.  I feel so bad…Continue

We will be moving in a couple of weeks and we are still undecided about how we will keep Lucy confined to the yard.  We are leaning towards putting in a dog pen but the question is....do we try to…Continue

HiI was just curious when your doodle stopped growing.  Lucy is only 7/12 months and already 47 lbs.  She has really long legs.  Her parents were 55 and 60 lbs.  Continue

Lucy just ate her way through a small rubbermaid container with chocolate covered nuts.  She probably ate about 10 pecans covered with white/dark chocolate.    I've know chocolate can be fatal for…Continue

Lucy goes crazy when neighbor kids are outside

We live at the end of a cul de sac where there is only one other house across from us.  We always let Lucy run between the two houses because she plays with their dog.  Recently she has been digging in their yard so I can no longer let her out unless someone is with her.  The minute the neighbor kids go outside to play Lucy starts going crazy at the door because she wants to join them.  Sometimes she will bark and whine for 2 hours.    I feel so bad because I know she just wants to join the…See More

won't eat her food suddenly

I was wondering if anyone elses dog suddenly stopped eating a certain brand of food.  We were feeding her science diet and now she refuses to eat it.  We tried a different brand and she was OK with it.   A mouse found it's way into the bag of new food and so I through it out.  I tried giving her the science diet until I can get to the store tomorrow but she won't touch it.  I feel bad because I know she must be hungry but it's all I have for tonight.  I'm so mad at myself for not putting the…See More

Hi there,

Lucy is adorable!! She does look a lot like Sadie; just with curlier hair!

They are close to the same age too !! Is Lucy your first doodle?

I read your discussion on what she does all day; Sadie has been put in a crate since her first night...and now she finally likes it!  She would cry a lot at first, but now I find she goes in there to sleep all by herself..we are just careful that we don't leave her in for long periods of time.  Hope you are enjoying the site as much as me!
