We took Murphy in to be spayed this AM and the vet said she should wear the cone for 10 days. Wow that seems a little extreme so I thought I'd check with you. Also I've read (maybe here) that the…Continue

Our 6 month old female pup Murphy has suddenly become a picky eater and barely touches her morning meal. She picks at it throughout the day but I worry that she's not getting enough nutrition. We are…Continue

"Aw thanks! Best of all she is just a sweetheart of a dog, but that goes with the territory with doodles I think. They have a wonderful temperament yet can be so goofy and funny."

"Gibbs is a real cutie. Congratulations! Here are 2 pictures of our Murphy, one at 8 weeks and one at 2 years. She never did get the typical doodle face but we love the way she looks. "

"We have a traditional looking doodle up the street that comes over for play dates with Murphy and I notice that when she drinks water her beard is wet and dripping water. I really prefer our smooth faced doods."

"My dog who is now 2 years old weighed 18 pounds at 4 months. She now weighs 42 pounds so it could be that Harper will be closer to 50 pounds. Our dog is also open faced and like Harper, curly only on her back and chest. My husband and I both love…"

"He's really precious, and as the others have said could become more doodley, or not. Ours didn't but we love the way she looks. She's very smooth faced like a retriever but quite curly on her back and chest with a big plume of a tail."

Anne G. replied to Lori & Quincy's discussion Is kibble a must? in the group The Food Group
"When Murphy leaves a significant amount of kibble I put it in a container and give it to her at her next meal. She doesn't mind the leftovers. She's like me that way. I like leftovers too, lol."

"Before giving up on kibble completely you could try another brand from the recommended list in the Food Group. My 2 year old dog used to be very fussy but has gotten less so as she's gotten older."

Hi Anne. I am in the process of getting a doodle next month. She will be three weeks old on Thursday. She comes from a litter of cream, apricots and just two reds...She is one of the reds. She has a straighter coat at this point. Your dood looked curlier, but has picked up retriever traits...Although I guess your dog isn't quite done changing yet. Is yours a F1 or a F1 B? It really is funny that all theses doodles go through so many changes from birth to one year. They don't stay the same for long. How do I even pick, from coat type etc...if there seems to be no rhyme or reason how they may look in a year. Just thought I would check out the info on your doodle. Thanks.

Anne, do you have any pics of Murphy at age 4 months?  I'd be curious to see if they look alike. Thank you in advance!

Annie is 6 years old and Zoey is a little over 3 months old now.  She looks so different than Annie did at this age. Annie was getting allot of facial hair by now and was getting her little billy goat beard.  Zoey is not changing much, her hair is very fluffy, no curl at all right now. She is adorable and like you we kindof like that she looks different.  I'll post some pictures of them.  They bring me so much joy!  I'd be lost without  them. Thanks for getting back to me.

Nope! Riley is actually a standard. As of last week she weighs 3 pounds at 7 weeks. So.. she is definitely on the small side (partly due to a health issue), but we think she will catch up! Should be about 45-50 pnds.
