- We live in Alexandria, VA and we have a Goldendoodle named Chancy...We are active in the Nova Doodles (Yahoo Group) and love to meet up for play dates with other doodles!
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Chancy is a year old Goldendoodle (Born 11/20/09). She is cream/tan in color and very very sweet. We got Chancy from a breeder in PA "Barleycroft Kennels". They are great people and have wonderful dogs! Chancy is a growing girl at 65 pounds. Her best friend "Bilbo" is a goldendoodle and is about 75 pounds!

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- They have the sweetest disposition and intelligence...oh and yes...they don't shed like a Golden would...
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Doodle Romps, Sleep, Go for walks and hikes. Chancy is a great swimmer. She loves the beach and the lake....we can't get her out of the water in the summertime!

New Puppy to join our family
We are picking up our new little girl....to be named...on Jan 16th. We are so very excited...we lost our first doodle to cancer last month and can't bear to go on in life without a special doodle in our lives....so this puppy is going to bring us hope!

Dewey Beach Doodle Romp 2009!

We are heading off this morning to Dewey Beach for the Annual Dewey Beach Doodle Romp! We thought we'd make a long weekend out of it and enjoy the gorgeous weather! We'll be staying at Oceanside and look forward to meeting more Doodle friends! Lexi can't wait to get in the water this afternoon!

Hi, Andrea. Thanks for your message last week. I remembered you telling me about losing a doodle that you had before Chancy. While I didnt know your other dog... I remember hoping that I never lose Emma. At only two years old, who would have thought what would happen that day?? I had just left my new office which Emma visited for ther very first time. She designated a favorite spot under my new desk and everything. I thought she and I would spend many hours there together.... that I will never get to have.
So many times that people asked me about Emma, I said "If I had nothing else I would have this dog." The other night I realized nothing I will ever do will bring her back or press her further away but that I needed to look ahead with positivity.
Good news: On Thursday I went to see doodles just to make me smile and this one puppy would not take her head off my foot. Although my heart really isnt ready for her, I could not pass up her appeal to me. I placed a deposit and picked her up on Friday. -- I am looking forward to you meeting her. Emma would have loved her. :)
