a very sad tale with a happy ending. Our first Doodle Holly was picked up on a whim by me from a shelter here in Illinois - she was darling, she was born on the 4th of July - so hence, Happy 4th of July Holly Day....and of course, I bought every name tag and doggie item that said Holly on it - unfortunately after visiting our vet and getting checked out, we noticed that often she was vomiting after eating. I immediately took her to the shelters vet for exam on a Monday as we had 1 week warranty and unfortunately she was diagnosed with Megaesophagus - we were heartbroken, took her to our specialists in Chicago and then talked with U of Illinois and Purdue U and they told us nothing could be done - the best thing we could do was give her back to the shelter, and that if we kept her, we would live our lives with continued sadness and special needs. SAD SAD SAD - Awful - anyway from there I searched for breeders and was so happy to find my new Holly....she is well and fine - Happy note - our first Holly was adopted by a family and her new mom is a nurse and continues to care for Holly # 1 -
Our Holly # 2 continues to live a teen age life. Sounds like you have a Happy Household of love as well.

Great looking Doodle! It looks like she is playing poker.

How did your Holly get her name. Our Holly was born on Christmas Day 2007 and we wanted a name that would commemorate her birthday. We couldn't call her Noel because saying "No! Noel!" might have been confusing. During her first three months, Holly thought that her name was "No! Holly!"

I would love to have a second Doodle for our Holly to play with but, one 60+ pound Doodle and four Maltese are really enough dogs in one household.
