Plenty of daily exercise can also help. Is your doodle getting a long walk every day? And finally, how is training coming? Does he know basic commands and can the kids help with training? Their helping can put perspective on the hierarchy of the family dynamic.

Stephanie, posting your question as a separate 'Discussion' topic might be a better option than here as a comment, as others will see the topic and respond to it specifically. My only suggestion for your 'biting' problem is to stress to your children the importance of never using hands to play with their doodle. Instead, have them use a dog toy when they interact and play with him. A sharp 'NO!', turning and ignoring the pup can also help to deter biting. A correction should be given whenever the dog puts teeth on skin. Make sure, too, the kids don't make high, shrill noises while playing with your dood. Those kinds of noises can excite an already excited pup, and it could escalate the biting and nipping frenzy. A calm, quiet, matter-of-fact attitude is what you're aiming for. Kids like to run and make sudden movements and that, too, can excite a puppy and feed into the biting behavior. Its really a matter of training the kids in how to behave around the dog, with a calm and quiet demeanor. Not sure if any of this applies to your kids, but if it does, these suggestions should help.

I have a 20 week old male goldendodle. He is a good boy for the most part but we are having a big problem with playful biting . He is not mean at all . He just rough bites when he plays and he does it a lot with our kids

You do deserve a pat on the back Pilar! Leash training is work- I cannot imagine walking more than just my 1 dog. He's getting better for sure. A few weeks back though I got a little over confident and tried jogging a little bit. Big mistake! Tripped over my puppy who's not leash trained and bit the asphalt. First thing I do: look to see if anyone saw :) haha Turned out ok and I got a huge bruise on my hip to look at.

My first pack walk...today I felt brave enough to take Sophie (15 month doodle) and Rico (15 week doodle) for a walk together on a coupler. Wish that I had it on video. Lol. Walking Sophie alone causes me to run home for a Xanax. She's one of those doodles with high energy and doesn't want to walk wants to run like a greyhound. I coupled them up made sure neighbors were all working and took off. Felt like Santa being pulled by his reindeers. But after a few minutes all fell into place and we were walking the leader and her two gorgeous doodles. Feeling proud. Tomorrow I will take a treat bag with me and will work on the i know the coupler is red but no pulling mama like Santa.

Rixhard, I sent you a friend request yesterday so that I can send you a private message and I also left a comment on your page. Please accept my friend request or leave a comment on my page regarding your pup.  I would like to try to help you.

I am looking for a good home for my almost 8 month old F1B neutered male Golden Doodle.  He’s about 85 pounds and has a soft, curly golden-tan coat.  We are not able to devote the time that needs so we are specifically looking for someone who is home most of the time and has no small children or cats.  In general, he is good natured but can be aggressive when he gets over excited during play time and he shows signs of separation anxiety when we leave for work.  He needs someone who loves dogs and knows how to handle them.  Please help us find the right home for our dog.

I have a hunter. I looked out the front door to see Penny with a plump little mouse hanging out of her mouth. She was not about to part with it but I was able to distract her with a special treat. Thankfully, she did not eat it. My last 2 goldens ate everything they caught, must be the poodle genes!

Goldie is such a GOOD girl! We've done the same thing with Oscar's crate. One of us will leave the end door open and the other latches the front door, thinking he's secure in his crate. Come to think of it, we never found any accidents either on those occasions.

What a cute story and yay for Goldie for being a good Doodle girl:)
