Verification that puppies and breeding dogs are raised in the home (not in a kennel, out building, garage, back yard etc....)?
These doodles are “family,” everyone (adults/pups) are in Dianne’s home. It seemed to me the home revolved more around the doodles and their needs came first. Lots of interaction.
Was home and property clean and pleasant?
Yes, very definitely. I was in the livingroom, kitchen, dinning room and outside patio/yard.
Where you allowed to view health records for the parent dogs or other dogs owned by the breeder? health records consist of OFA / PennHIP, CERF, PRA, vWD, Thyroid, Heart. A letter from the vet stating a dog is ok to breed is NOT clearance for breeding
When we were discussing pedigrees – Ella Fitzgerald /James Brown-- (at her dinning room table) Dianne was eager to show me the health records and scores
Were the dogs well groomed?
Yes, they were. I was impressed because at that time she had 14 (adults/pups) living in her home and they were all clean, groomed, well behaved and very well maintained.
Were the dogs well behaved and obedient?
Yes, It was delightful puppy chaos. Dianne put everyone outside in the backyard and kept mom Ella and 4 pups in the house. I was interested in seeing 2 of the 4.. We chatted while they played. The black one was quite curious, kept checking me out then off he would go to play with his litter mates making several return visits, kinda like a magnet. It was a natural atmosphere for them while their personalities shown for me.
Was at least one of the parents on site for the visitation?
Yes, Ella Fitzgerald was there and very much a part of the “adoption” process.
Why did you choose this breeder?
I call it fate and so happy our paths crossed. After losing our beloved 11 year old F1, standard, labradoodle, Riley, August 8th, I started researching and conducting online searches for labradoodle breeders in Orlando and surrounding areas. I knew we didn’t want a baby and could not have a large standard where we live (weight restrictions), so that eliminated a few breeders right off. While on one breeder’s website (in Oregon) I noticed a banner at the bottom of her webpage regarding available 5 month old ALDs in Orlando! Trinity Doodles. I checked out the website and sent Dianne an email re my plight, the rest is history....the black one went home with me that day, Bisbee. I truly love the fact that Dianne is a home breeder on the small side and that each pup gets tons of individual loving attention, and are considered and treated as family and not as commodities. She was very professional and her knowledge of the pet food industry was astounding to me and very helpful. These pups were getting the best of the best....outstanding care. She had taken the time to introduce them to different textures, the leash, potty training, car rides, crate training, cats, children, etc. Plus a lot of love.
Would you buy another dog from this breeder again in the future?
