 Well, my daughter and Josh just left and it was a stress free weekend, and He did not mind sleeping on the air mattress, in my son's room at all.  I am just sad they just left, and Karen mentioned about how she misses the variety Green Bay has to offer , and how Rice Lake is getting boring, I told her to hang in there, and she can always come home to visit, when she likes.  I even gave Josh a hug when he came on Friday and when they left.

  He is a nice young man quite and a little shy, I am sure he was overwhelmed by both families during the holiday.  I was just slightly concerned, when Karen's best girl buddy since they were 2yrs old, came over and he didn't really ask many questions about what she was like as a young girl. Oh well, thats okay.

    I enjoyed having my daughter home and getting those girl hugs from her !

Merry Christmas, thank you all for the wonderful advice and support over the last few months. All will be good and I will enjoy the time with my daughter and Josh, and everyone else.

another one on the band wagon about "if they are living together- they can stay in the same room"  however, it is your house and do what ever you want to do. I also believe that if you have one in one room and one sleeping in the other and if they want to do the deed, they will do it anyway..hormones are a wonderful thing.. or maybe it was just me and my boyfriend at my parents house..he he..

I too agree with the last two comments.  You've raised your children well and they will make good choices, hopefully Josh is a good choice and it will be her mistake if not.  It's their bodies and their lives, you've done your job.  Now just have a stress free joyful holiday and take pride in them.

I know it probably isn't what you want to hear, but I agree with Nancy.  If they are living together already, you really are "pretending" if you make them sleep separately at your home.  I realize parents can have an issue with that, particularly Dads with daughters, but in the big picture, it isn't really a big thing.  It will make everyone much more relaxed and the holidays will be a whole lot more enjoyable if it isn't an issue!

Here is how I handled my kids/relatives and their opposite sex mates - if they were actually living together, they could share a room at my house, but if not, then they couldn't.  I am pretty traditional, but feel that if they are living together elsewhere, then it would be pretty stupid of me to pretend otherwise when they visited.  This has actually worked out quite well.

 HI all !!

   I just wanted to up date you on my DD, well She and Josh are doing fine, and she asked if he can come for the Holidays, which we said "Yes", now the delimenia, well she wondered if he should stay in a hotel, and of course I said "No" I would feel funny if he did that, we have a medium size house with 4 bedrooms, I mentioned the couch or air matteress to be placed in one of her brothers room. 

   Tonight she said that he does have Monday off and will be coming Yea I told her!!

   She asked he can sleep in her room with the air marttress , I said "No" that the coach is good too, he has a bad back so the coach would not be good,

  Of course she mentioned that the fact when Jack's Friend Ali visited , they stayed in the bigger room, together, then I Mentioned that the First time Ali visited she slept in the room with you.

 OOOPS  but the second time Ali visited she and Jack were together in the bigger room, which I told Karen I didn't expect that at all,

   I also said I am not sure of his Intention with you and that the air matterss or coach  will be fine.

  Oh man did she change her voice tone,  I am sure I  made a mistake, Ali and Jack have been together for quite awile, and I am postive they will be engaged soon, I am in a quandry, my DH is supporting my decision.

  I am going to get Josh a Gas Card for a present, I asked if he would miss his family, he told her he wants to get to know her family, oh man could be interesting

  Well thanks for listening, and advice??? Feel Free to give it !
