While I'm gone, Callie lives in my kitchen (she barked too much in the crate - disturbed my neighbors). This worked very well for 6 months, but for the past week I'm getting MAJOR attitude about getting in the kitchen (cream cheese isn't even working) and every night I come home and she's meeting me at the door. Here's the level of the escapism...I have the kitchen gated with a waist-high gate (inside the door), then the french doors to the kitchen are shut, and THEN I push a dining room chair against the doors (this was a trial and error process). She's been good and hasn't chewed anything up, but did in the past so I don't know that I want her to have full run all day. I attached a photo of what happened when I felt guilty one night so I didn't pen her up when I had a tennis match.

Any advice?

Sounds like my Calla, who I called Harriet Houdini because she managed to escape the gated yard so much. At the moment I think I have her foiled.

How long is she at home? Maybe a walk midday would help?
